multitheistic mac thing

...well not until i hit 200

but i am waiting for macrumors staff to disable the jefhatfield handle since i sent them an email...so as, like i said, to give the new posters some breathing room

it all stated with anonymousposter and anonymouscoward leaving and coming in as newbies many many nights ago in the earliest days of these threads

since then, i think one of them has come back three times and even though he/she is a flamewarrior, they even like to leave room for new posters by retiring on macrumors...i think it's a good idea because new posters bring new life

Well, you have to have some of the older people on here to keep some stability though. Either way, the info and feedback remains the same.

re😱lder people

in another few months, anybody with a handle that shows a registration date in the year 2001 will be the old sages of macrumors

...and of course, anybody with 200 posts (a kela set standard) of which you are almost at

mrmacman and spikey are the oldmen/women/kids of macrumors...i am never quite sure of the gender of the poster and i often question the huge amount of 13 year olds on macrumors but that is the fun of the internet

i literally went to a real "party" with half the people there from these boards and others in california, of course, with siliconvalleyites and others mostly mac related and the host told me, "oh, just answer the door, i have no idea what the people coming will look like"

...i only know them from cyberspace...and guess what, no suprises and everybody was all too normal

our online personalities are much more interesting than our real personalities...i doodle with photoshop or frontpage once in a great while and while i would love to call myself a full on computer artist, i am just a techie/engineer/cableboy/secretary's personal slave who fixes gear and i am no digital davinci

...but i do like the work of 'groov and jack tors and i think they have a link to their actual websites...and one of the anonymous dudes did a real artpice with a parrot perched on his "carrot" for those you you who remember way back (yes, he won that flamewar)...very strange but not shocking for us macfolk who think different

Parrot perched on his 'carrot?' I think he robbed that picture from 'rotten.com,' under the heading "I swear this didnt happen."

Anyway, yeah. People here are probably pretty normal, but their online personalities are almost always more open and coarse.

Oh, and whenever I get my current animation project done, Ill post it online as well. I ought to put some of my stuff on that I did last year, but its not super-great and kind of embarassing. The company I do websites for is:

I understand this all too much. I've made a few good friends from the internet, and have found my match made in heaven as well (all in person of course!). I think the biggest part of all this is the fun factor. It shouldn't be too serious. Like I tell my friends, "God bless the internet!" 🙂

Whew! When I started reading this thread I thought your wife had pulled the plug on your prolific posting. I'm glad you're still on the boards Jef/networkman.
