Many customers who pre-ordered a Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus received shipping estimates ranging into October and November, but it appears Apple is working hard to overcome supply constraints and get shipments out earlier than expected.

Starting this morning, MacRumors began hearing reports from customers who originally had deliveries scheduled for a month or two out but will now be receiving their devices over the course of the next few days.

MacRumors reader Daniel was told to expect his Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus in November, but will be receiving it tomorrow, while another customer had a delivery scheduled for October 4 to 10, but will instead receive his iPhone on Wednesday. There are also multiple reports on Twitter from customers who have had similar good news, including some improved delivery estimates from carriers.

@MacRumors just got a shipment notification on my Jet Black 7+. Way ahead of schedule. - Daniel (@drwebber) September 19, 2016

The new Jet Black iPhone offers both a unique mirror-like finish and a new deep black color, which has made it one of the most popular choices with customers. It uses a different anodization process than the other iPhones to achieve the shine, perhaps explaining why it is in shorter supply.

Reports of improved shipping estimates are encouraging for customers who are expecting to wait until November to receive a new iPhone. When pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus took place on September 9, shipping estimates for Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus models slipped to weeks and then months within a matter of minutes, leaving customers who wanted the new color waiting. If Apple can continue ramping up supply, orders may be going out much earlier. Orders placed today on Apple's website for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus continue to have November delivery estimates.

For those who have ordered a Jet Black iPhone or plan to, Apple warns that the device is prone to significant scratching because of its finish, something that has indeed been seen in early reviews and in the wild already.

My iPhone 7 jet black 128gb that was scheduled to come September 26-October 3 is coming tomorrow.

Mine was scheduled for Sept 26th-3rd Oct. Got the email saying it will be delivered today! Well, will be picked up at the UPS store today since I won't be home to sign for it.

When did Macrumors become AppleTrolls? Apple warns of micro-abrasians. Not significant scratching. Not even remotely close to the same thing.

Are you salty due to the lack of Mac attention in recent years and worried that this site will eventually fade into obscurity because its MacRumors, and not iPhoneRumors? Or have you started to see some dollars from parties that are interested in seeing you post exaggerations and inflammatory articles that are disingenuous or completely false?

See if I were trying to short Apple, or in some way intentionally misrepresent reality, I would definitely use "significant scratching" as my way of describing what Apple said.

This makes me wonder how long it will take for my iPhone 7 128 GB black to arrive. Ordered it just two days before the official release, but not at Apple Online Store. Instead I went for Typhone, which I have used to get my iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 as well. I remember how I got the iPhone 6 on the day of the release, while I did order it just ONE day before. And I knew from someone who worked there that they always receive pretty large shipments.

So really hope Apple is all over the place now and will ship those phones as soon as possible. My iPhone 7 can't come soon enough. xD

By the way, amazing to see so many people here already getting their shipment notification for an original delivery at a much later time. Keep it coming guys!

This is all fine and dandy, but still NO ONE is reporting on At&t NOT fulfilling orders....

I just received my two Jet Black 256GB's just now. I am now driving back to the Apple store to return them for blacks. The scratch videos have convinced me that the surface is just too fragile and the small scratches would bug me big time.

I have the Black 7 Plus 128GB coming on 10/5. I really hope mine ships early too!

My son's Black 7 128GB is due to arrive 5 days early. Was supposed to ship on 9/23, but will arrive tomorrow, 9/20.
