I know right? Was kinda the same with the Apple Watch as I recall. I mean, back then I ordered myself the Apple Watch Sport silver aluminum with White Sports Band and got June as delivery window. Instead, it got bumped up to early May, just two weeks after the official release.

That's just amazing. But it also shows how bad Apple is at predicting sales. At least, that's what I think. Otherwise they would definitely have enough already, right?

Are you salty due to the lack of Mac attention in recent years and worried that this site will eventually fade into obscurity because its MacRumors, and not iPhoneRumors? Or have you started to see some dollars from parties that are interested in seeing you post exaggerations and inflammatory articles that are disingenuous or completely false?

See if I were trying to short Apple, or in some way intentionally misrepresent reality, I would definitely use "significant scratching" as my way of describing what Apple said.

Holding back supply to falsify high demand. Lol. It's definitely something I could see Apple doing.

Keep in mind that this doesn't simply happen overnight. I'm pretty sure (heck, I'm 99% sure) yours will be updated very, very soon as well. Maybe not today, but tomorrow could definitely be a possibility. :p

What the heck? So they're bumping up shipments that were supposed to be in November to tomorrow but my jet black was supposed to be Sept 26-Oct3 didn't get bumped? :( How does that work?

Matte black here instead of jet black, but the same thing happened for me today... Mine was originally scheduled to arrive Oct 4 - 10, but I just got the shipping notification this morning: it's coming this Friday, September 23!
 
Interesting the delivery times are ramping up that fast. I am in the SAME boat that got moved up. I ordered at 3:12AM on the 9th - due to an 11 minute East Coast delay in getting to the Apple Store app to launch - and was bummed to get a delivery window of Oct 4 - Oct 10 for my JB 256GB 7+ ATT. I then ordered my wife's Silver 256GB 7 ATT and it was delivered on the 16th. My delivery window then moved UP a bit to Sep 29 - Oct 1 for like 2 days and then BACK to a later window of Oct 6 - Oct 12; I had no idea what was going on and no idea when the phone would ship or be delivered.

A few days ago it changed to "preparing to ship" and sat in that status until today. Then today I get a UPS notification saying I have a delivery coming on 9/21 lol. I checked my Apple order page and it said the 7+ would be delivered by the 23rd but UPS says the 21st lol. How this happened I have no idea.

Also, both the new Apple Watches I ordered for my wife and I had an initial delivery window the 1st week of Oct but also have somehow "shipped" and they will be here tomorrow, 9/20.

On a side note, I have been checking the reservation availability locally and they have started showing up in stock and available for reservation for both the 7 and the 7+ in all colors except JB. I could have gotten a 7+ in black Sat night if I wanted to. The only thing concerning me was I already had the contract established with Citizens and didn't want to cause any delays or issues as a result of that.

Hopefully everyone gets their phones sooner than later; just be patient.

I don't think that's true cause my date for nov 23rd hasn't changed

I ordered the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus 128 gig through the Apple Store at 3:04am in pre order night. The sight still days Oct 4-10
