Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus Pre-Orders Shipping Sooner Than Expected

My sons 7+ Jet Black 128GB ordered on Apple directly at 8:03am still sitting at 23-30 Sep, as per original schedule. UK order :-(

To a lot of people, the deeper black is worth it alone if you're using a clear case.

Not true. My son is getting his from Verizon tomorrow. Was supposed to ship on the 23rd.

Are you salty due to the lack of Mac attention in recent years and worried that this site will eventually fade into obscurity because its MacRumors, and not iPhoneRumors? Or have you started to see some dollars from parties that are interested in seeing you post exaggerations and inflammatory articles that are disingenuous or completely false?

See if I were trying to short Apple, or in some way intentionally misrepresent reality, I would definitely use "significant scratching" as my way of describing what Apple said.

Don't worry, they will probably change it and then there will be no sign that the article was changed, just like with the two OIS on the iPhone Plus.

Honestly, it's a bit of a shame. You cannot always be right, you want to be quick with the news. It's fine to make mistakes, but if you change the article then, at least indicate it was changed. Online newspapers do the same.

The Matte Black is also really beautiful imo you made a good choice as well! I'm planning to use a clear case for my Jet Black plus. I'm happy you got your phone early! Pray for me and your husband that we get ours soon lol!

Same here I ordered mine around 3:45 am on pre-order date and got a ship date at October 26th, 2016 from Verizon. I totally would have ordered sooner but Verizon's website, and app was down. Ridiculous if you ask me, I ended up just canceling that order and ordering straight from Apple. Now getting a deliver date by October 11th-17th.
 
256gb 7+ AT&T ordered on 9/9 at Apple.com 1:15am mdt; 10/18-10/31 delivery dates still processing:( if no phone by 10/7 no payment to AT&T until I receive my phone!

I think Apple gets its sales projections from MacRumors commenters. And we all know how bad MacRumors commenters are at predicting sales.

Did he order Jet Black or Matte Black? My pre-order from VZW for my 7+ 256 Matte is still "processing" with an estimated ship date of 9/23. I've checked it every day since I ordered it and NOTHING has changed and I'm getting antsy. I'd like to know if I have the slightest possibility of mine coming early....

Thanks. I am not going to go too crazy over it if it does get a scratch because I'm almost definitely going to get next year's phone. (I also don't re-sell my iPhones, I keep them all so I don't worry about any scuffs usually). That said, I do like to keep my devices in the best shape they can be. But honestly, I prefer my phones naked, so that's how I keep them. :)
 
Mine was Oct 4th and just got notification that it will be here on Wednesday. 128Gb Jet Black 7+ on AT&T.
 
I got mine this morning after it shipped late last week. Originally not supposed to be here until late September or early October. Went to the Apple store and they were surprised it wasn't in on Saturday. AT&T Jet-black 256gb.

It's basically on the national news...most people who knew to order day one also probably saw news about the phone scratching easily. I'm sure Apple coming out and saying the phone scratches was enough to turn enough people off for Apple's supply chain to catch up.

Now let's be honest, when you pay $750+ for a phone a micro-abrasion is the exact same thing as a scratch.
