Still indecisive as I love the look when clean, but expect it to get quite grubby.

Any chance any of the lucky Jet Black owners could post some real world pics of their phones?

Love the look of the Jet black phone. However, it feels like a plastic phone. It has too many downsides with its vulnerability to scratches to make it a viable choice.

I agree, only Apple would strive to make a metal phone look and feel like plastic...

  • This is why I went matte black. I'm putting a leather cast on it anyway. As long as it has a black front, that's all that matters.

OP, I don't think pictures are going to do justice. The phone looks very different in person vs. pictures. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is something that only you can decide. I cannot say that with enough emphasis. It is the most different looking phone in person compared to pictures of any phone I have ever seen.

Not everyone has fingerprint phobia. I never look at the back of my phone, so that personally would not bother me a single bit.

I agree. The iPhone 3G looked great in photos but once you handle it it felt extremely plasticky. Not so with the JB iPhone 7 (despite having the same look) and it feels more substantial.

People's perception of it seems to be from experience (plastic phones).

Now, why would anybody put their finger print on the lens (post 4) ? Or was this, just say, a goofy person throwing their fingerprints all over it, and taking pictures to post

Ugh is that actually your phone or an apple display? The reason I ask is there are even fingerprints all over the camera.

It is shiny, and it will get fingerprint smudges similar to glass. Guess no one had smudges on the 3Gs, 4, 4S.

Who cares, I will just use it like I use any phone.
Is that a bumper on it?
