Yet some us have november estimates with no movement whatsoever

Getting one from the store is a better bet in general. This seems to reflect a reversal in trend by Apple. It used to be that online deliveries took priority, but unless you were lucky enough to be in the initial batch of online preorders, it seems these days keeping an eye out on store inventory alerts is a more reliable bet.

Although admittedly you're kind of out of luck if you don't live near an Apple Store.

LOL screw Apple. How can we pre-order within the first half hour and they arrive in stores before in our hands. My online preorder is still processing and they haven't charged me and I just went to the store to pick up the last Sprint carrier phone available in 256.

Should I cancel my order?

I'm very disappointed with Apple about this and up until this point I've been very defensive about criticisms towards Apple because I thought they could get this right. NOPE.

Oh and got rear ended on the way back from the Apple store, I am officially blaming getting rear ended on Apple. pretty shtty day but at least I have the phone in my hands.

This is the same every year for a while. If dates slip It's better to test your luck in stores.

Was able to reserve a gold 7 plus for my wife in store two days after launch. Was able to get a black 256gb two days later. Got a jet black today.

Apple will always stock their stores first. Otherwise might as well tell the staff to take off and close all stores to preorders are fulfilled. Not going to happen

Already have my game plan ready for next year.

Lol no, screw you. It's honestly not they're fault. EVERYBODY, has been picking up models in store... why haven't you till now?

Cancel it.

Thats because none were available until now. This appears to be the first massive wave of inventory for stores.

It's over 4 weeks since iPhone 7 launch day, and people are still scrabbling to get a JB 7+. But just saw a JB 256 7+ Verizon in stock here on the East Coast at Tysons Corner, VA store. That store is strict about IUP only setup for reservations.

That's interesting that that store is strict about iup reservations only. After you reserve an iPhone on the iup tool apple has set up you can scroll to the bottom of the page or check FAQ. There a question that says can I change payment method. Apple clearly states yes you can buy it outright or carrier upgrade.

I actually did this the year the 6 came out. Got a 6 model exchanged two months later when pluses were finally in stock. They will make exceptions depending on the associate and just be nice and explain your situation. It doesn't hurt to try.

You had started a installment plan already with ATT Next tho? How did that work switching that installment plan over to the new phone?

so it safe to get a sprint version? as long as it is paid in full its already unlocked? no waiting period or need to activate with a certain sim? ..i plan on taking it overseas. i hope there is no issue with activating with a foreign sim card

I bought the sprint model full price last night, immediately took the sprint SIM card out and am using it on Verizon right now.

Sounds like no-harm-no-foul to me.

I agree it makes absolutely no sense for Apple to start dropping phones nation wide while people are sitting around with November ship dates, but you got yours earlier than you thought you would.

Just cancel the order. Why on earth would you be salty about that?

So I am on ATT, planning to hunt a JB 7Plus in DFW area, can I buy any carrier through Apple's IUP would it work with ATT? Currently showing one with Sprint available 50 miles from me...will it work with ATT and apple let me buy it on IUP even though I am on ATT?

Yes as to compatibility -- all of the 7 models support GSM, which is what AT&T uses. No as to IUP.

Hey that's my store of choice, I like going to Tyson's and walk around. That's a great mall. I usually go to that one, but there is also an Apple store in Reston Town Center and Fair Oaks Mall.

Also, did you know that the Apple store in Tyson's Corner was the very first Apple store?

Its not just the JB, pretty much all the 7+'s. Actually right now the JB seems to be easier to get than the regular black.
