I have done it a few times, and it's usually within 30 minutes....except for once when the entire system went down across the USA and it was more like 90 minutes (waited in the mall).
If I picked up a Verizon iphone and put an att sim in it, would i lose ANY of the att features i have now. Wifi Calling. HD Voice etc. I don't think so, just being cautious.
Would that also apply to a Sprint iphone

I don't imagine it would be any different than another other reservation. If it shows it's available I imagine it would be similar to any other item you pick up. within minutes you should get the email or text and if it's not extremely busy in the store you should get it right away. If busy you might have to wait for someone to help you, overall you should get a confirmation within 10 to 30 minutes.
Yes, plus CDMA support. I use Verizon version 1661 on ATT without a problem. Everything works.
For anyone who reserved for pickup they won't give you the phone until it is the timeframe that you chosed..at the Apple Store right now

I actually did this the year the 6 came out. Got a 6 model exchanged two months later when pluses were finally in stock. They will make exceptions depending on the associate and just be nice and explain your situation. It doesn't hurt to try.
Had to return the Samsung Note 7 last night. Had a iphone 7+ black on order (4 weeks out).
While checking online inventory site http://www.istocknow.com/live/ noticed a 256gb 7+ Jet Black pop up in Delaware. Got on an Apple chat session to get is reserved.
When I got to the store, I was told it was for Upgrade Program purchases only. Asked to speak with the Manager and got agreement to allow and outright full price sale, as long as I opened the box and activated in-store.
Once activated, cancelled the prior order.

I LOVE my Matte Black (minus the slight hissing issue). The color is AMAZING. I really liked the look of the Jet Black but I am so OCD it would get a small microabrasion on the gloss finish and I would flip out. I hate that I am like that. Lol
