Where did you get the enclosure from? Struggling to find it cheaper than £140+.
I messaged them about the price (after i ordered it for 99$) because i was thinking of getting another one and they said they are willing to drop it back to 99$ for me.
Try to message them.
My presumption is they were not aware at the beginning they sold Thunderbolt cases (USB-C cables included).
I bought them for 99$ with Thunderbolt3 cable included tho. Also, what i replied to Gandalf.

I just ordered TB3 certified active and a passive THunderbolt 3 cables....active have transceivers in them and are not backward compatible with USB devices; passive are backwards compatible with USB. I went to the Thunderbolt Technology website where you can search for and purchase certified Thunderbolt stuff from various vendors. I'll post back here to see if changing the TB3 cables make any differences.

I will check into this I do have the Samsung specific NVMe device driver installed instead of the Intel version. I had to install the latest TB3 Intel device driver to get this TB3 device to be seen and work.
[doublepost=1562279719][/doublepost]I just wanted to update people. I got both a certified active and passive 0.5m TB3 cables, and there was no difference in the crystaldiskmark test values. I also have a new Adata XGP SX8200 Pro 512GB coming that I'm going to try out , so stay tuned.

Have anyone used this enclosure with the Samsung 970 EVO Plus?

I have this specific combo and can only get about 1100MB/s write and 2200MB/s read.

Checked everything but can't seem to find the problem. Tried with different TB3 cables, but same results.

I got those same values with my samsung pro 970's .....I now have an adata xpg sx8200pro in the leidian pro and its showing 2200/s read and 1100 MB/s write with crystaldiskmark 6.0.2. I personally think the Leidian Pro is a piece of chinese garbage junk..... as my samsung pro's in samsung magician show 3400/2800 while this adata in samsung magician shows 2200/1100. I also tried different certified active/passive 0.5m cables with no difference... I use the samsung nvme device drivers on my samsung pro's and the microsoft one on the adata/leidian pro.

hm, i have the 970EVO 1TB (nonplus version) and i get 2500 read/1900 write (just tested). But the drive is 85% full, i got around 2200/2500 when it was empty.

i use the supplied cable.

The price of the JEYI thunderbolt 3 m.2 nvme enclosure has now again a more reasonable price: $99

Mine is working until now reliable for months with a 970 EVO SSD.

Does the new design JEYI (the $99 one) come with a TB3 cable? The AliExpress listing does not mention any cable at all.

Come down a lot in price. Seen it for $88, was $145. Ya'll in for it a treat. Great splurge over 10gbps.

Anyone know if something reasonably equivalent to this, but available through a quicker channel like Amazon? Think I'm going to use a Crucial P1 PCIe M.2 SSD, $99 for 1TB, or the 1TB Sabrent Rocket for $109.

Though I guess if the enclosure gets to much over $100, then it might make more sense to just get a single source solution like the OWC Envoy Pro EX, 1TB for $279.
