It is common for pundits, celebrities and politicians to espouse and embrace PC topics to deflect criticism. If you can't see that then I question your objectivity.

Sterns and Ihnatko are among many who have done this multiple times on various shows to remind everyone that they are on the "good" side, but they aren't the only ones. It is rampant on the tech blogs and in tech media. Have a look at some of the Net Neutrality articles and comments. Net Neutrality is a PC issue where "everyone" who is egalitarian is for it. No dissent or analysis of the effects of the concept are allow. If you are for Net Neutrality, you are wholesome and enlightened. Have you seen any articles on the results of the FCC ruling so far? Nope. It isn't all unicorns and rainbows and it effects all of us.

Again. Sterns has brought up her wife several times during her appearances in media, it is fair game to point out why that is done. One can do a host of damage to good people with the constant snark as long as one remains fully on the Politically Correct side of social issues. Listen to Mac Break Weekly during an Apple Keynote. Most of the players are falling over themselves to out snark the other guest, constantly trashing damned near everything Apple announces. Ihnatko was so over the top that I turned the show off, but he is for the right things, so it's all just fine. Never mind that some of the commenters wouldn't last a day in a job that wouldn't accommodate their sleeping to mid afternoon.

You seem to be so deeply into high handed political correctness and "approved" language that you will never get this. My quip pales in comparison to what she has done in all of her self important glory to slag decent, hard working employee at tech companies across the board.

Yeah, I made him say that. Out of the hundreds of people I've spoken to this week, none have said that.

I thought that was the most ridiculous comment. How would consumers know what they'd want if they haven't seen it!? That's like saying any regular John Doe could envision the original iPhone. So stupid.
