I mean there’s only so many ways to design a phone. Same with the volume buttons, should they just do triangle buttons? LOL.
How can the Galaxy phones get fresh designs every year?

I'm not saying iPhones need to have a new design every year too. But it's like Apple would rather bring back nostalgia than try to come up with something modern and new, nowadays (aka literally ripping off the iPhone 4 design)

Why change a design that works just to have something new?

Ok fair enough,  could definitely be more innovative but folding phones are still super niche and the software is still terrible for them.

I like the idea of iPhone 4 design but the weight will be a problem. I'm optimistic about the use of titanium.
will wait for the S version though.

I feel like at this point you can get a future iPhone that won’t be out for another 2-4 years just by getting any Android flagship. Why wait years for Apple to maybe bring stuff like this out when you can get it now? I’m more excited for the pixel 6 than I am for the incremental iPhone 13 upgrade. I don’t understand why Apple is content to let the iPhone slip further and further behind every year. It turns out Android isn’t so bad, and the numerous companies using it are throwing the kitchen sink at their phones every year which benefits the consumer. But I guess since Apple thinks like a Wall Street bank and they know millions of people will buy them no matter what, why spend money developing something cutting edge or best in class when the masses will buy them anyways? Makes me wonder what they will bring out when they finally make a car, maybe a 1997 Toyota Tercel converted to run on battery power for 100k?
I mean, you said it right there. The kitchen sink.
sure, some might want a kitchen with a full sink and five different cooks in it.
others are happy with a kitchen with empty sink, full cupboards, and completely clean counters with only one cook.

Not if it also becomes heavier, because thicker + more battery life = heavier phone, while already being heaviest in class.
iPhone 12 weights 162g, iPhone 12 Pro weights 187g. That's 25g heavier for a an extra camera and a stainless steel frame over an aluminium frame. Titanium has around 40% strength to weight ratio compared to steel so that would hopefully minimize the weight increase if the phone is thicker.

ok, so no iPhone 13 for me then ...
fast forward 1 year, "reliable leaker" JP makes a new prediction for iPhone 15 ... me: no iPhone 14 for me ...
fast forward another year ... story continues ...

I will never ever buy a new iPhone again, next yers model will be so much better ...
/s
I will await next weeks reveal and then decide on actual features my next steps.

Why is the design of the phone so important at this point? Seriously asking. I own a 12 Pro Max right now. I don't understand what "fresh" design would mean. Round? Squared? Thicker? Slimmer? The phone has to be functional first of all, and iPhones are damn functional.

To me, changing the design every year means that a) I have to adjust to a new design; most people don't want to b) they haven't found a design that satisfies most people.

Who cares, there will always be a next phone, and until then, it’s still guessing.
Yeah, who cares?!?

If people care about speculating around unconfirmed information about Apple products, maybe they should make a site around that very premise.

They could call it “MacintoshSpeculation” or “AppleGossip” or something to make clear that it’s only guessing until the things actually release.

in other words, the phone you really want is behind door # 2022.
It’s like this every year, and it will continue to be.
in 2018: oh it’s not the XS you want, you’re gonna want to wait for the 11 with a triple camera, smaller notch, and a bigger battery.
in 2019: it’s not the 11 you want, you’re gonna want to wait for the 12 next year with 120 Hz, a new design, A smaller notch and 5G.
in 2020: it’s not the iPhone 12 you want, it’s actually going to be the iPhone 13 with better 5G, 120 Hz this time, a smaller notch this time and a bigger battery.
now in 2021: it’s not the iPhone 13 you want, it’s the iPhone 14 with a hole punch, no camera bump and the titanium edges.
and next year: it’s not the iPhone 14 you want, it’s the iPhone 15 with absolutely no cutout, a micro LED display, a periscope lens and a foldable option.
seriously, if you need a new phone, just buy a new phone. The 13 is still going to be a great phone, and will still last you for a good 5 to 7 years.
hell, The 12, 11, SE, and even the XS/XR are still amazing phones that will get the job done.

Who are we to believe ? The Prosser rumors or the rumor deniers because both of them have no idea what Apple is going to do yet both act like they do.

Not really. The fresh cosmetic redesign was on the S21 for the camera bump. S20 down to maybe the S8 are the same structurally (just moving the camera modules around). The glass sandwich design is even older down to the S6. So Samsung has been using the same glass aluminum sandwich design since the S6 to today.

In contrast, Apple's rounded glass sandwich design was just from the iPhone 8 to 11, with the 12 using a more boxy redesign. So Apple in a sense redesigned more frequently than Samsung in terms of actual structural changes.

Why does MR continue to promote this clown? For clicks or what?

It’s getting more obvious now, with embedded vids and the like.

No one is going to not buy the iPhone 13 just to wait for the 14. We will buy one every year, regardless, like clockwork. I’ll throw this 12 off a bridge the day the 13 comes out and you best believe I’ll do the same when the 14 comes out because I’m a sheep 🐑 and I’m ok with that 😊
