What a silly statement by Prosser.

By the time you get sued and Apple asks for default judgement, it means they're not willing to talk to you outside of court, silly.
Also if I understand correct Apple would file for a default judgment if Prosser hadn't been responding to requests from the court.

He thinks Apple is gonna fallback on this. Apple is going all in. He be stupid to think that they would have any source of settlements with him.

What makes him a bottom feeder to you? Some of his recent review videos are super high quality. I can understand if you don’t like his personality, but he definitely puts work into his videos.
I'd say the kind of behavior that led to this lawsuit in the first place would be as good a place as any to start listing the reasons he could be considered a bottom feeder.

Earlier this month, Apple's lawyers said Prosser missed his deadline to respond to the complaint. As a result, they filed a request for a default judgment against Prosser, which was entered by the court last week.
He better hope whoever at Apple he's supposedly talking to at Apple takes mercy on him because he's screwed otherwise. NEVER ignore a lawsuit. It's one thing if you can prove you didn't get served or some catastrophe kept you from responding in time, but not responding to the suit IN COURT (talking to Apple outside court doesn't matter) and talking about the case publicly (so the court will know, for sure, you were aware of it) is going to make it nearly impossible to get that default judgement set aside.

Dude needs to hire a damn lawyer before the hole he is digging goes all the way to china...

This is why only a fool represnets himself

The fact he conspired to break into someone's phone which inevitably got that person fired, all so he could be "first" with leaked intel on iOS "18" should give you half a clue. The fact that he hasn't responded to the suit or even refuted the allegations with his own affidavit is the biggest red flag that this guy is a total lying douche. How would you feel if this was done to you and you lost your job because of it?

Yeah, I'd say Apple's lawyers are probably much better than his. There's no way they'd declare in court he hasn't talked to them if he has. That's career suicide, especially if you're a very expensive corporate lawyer.

And doing all of this without a lawyer reeks of hubris... Prosser deserves whatever is coming his way for that reason alone...

Any lawyer... Even Lionel Hutz would have told Prosser to shut his trap on day 1. but he apparently thinks he knows more than lawyers who are paid to do this every day

Is he repping himself? Because if he has lawyers, they should quit. I am sure their advice was for him to not make any public statements about it, especially this kind of statement.
It is a “damned if you do damned if you dont” situation because if he didnt make any statements you all will continue to say that he’s ignoring, which yall have been doing in prior threads on here.

Incorrect. If he had a lawyer we would not be privy to any of the stuff wr know about now.

We only know the things we do because jon has a big mouth and does not not that the more he talkthe worse things will get for him

There is nothing to settle anymore. Apple requested and was granted a default judgement because Prosser apparently didn’t respond in court to Apple’s allegations leaving him open to a default judgement. The damages may be mitigated through a settlement negotiation but he has lost the case unless he is able to successfully appeal the default judgement (highly unlikely since his inaction caused it to be entered in the first place).

And yet this guy ignored court dates… have no time for him, from listening to his ex employees and those who have worked with him he seems to be the type of person who steals your time, promises to pay you but never does whilst earning thousands from your work. Definition of selfish in other words. Hope Apple takes him to the cleaners personally.

If I were Lipnik, I’d be lawyering up. It sounds to me that a scheme to illicitly break into his work materials directly led to him losing his a career at Apple. That is extraordinarily damaging at the individual level. Sure, it is a bad idea to trust criminally minded people, but even so, a criminal should have to pay restitution for the crime.
