Didn't work well for the iPod shuffle. This would be flop.
I think runners loved the shuffle. Was great for clipping it to your hat loaded with good songs or podcasts. I used to see a ton of that in the days. Now everyone just uses their Watch.

But a phone with no screen sounds rather pointless. Jony has been going bonkers lately. LOL

He obviously don’t design or create for MacRunor’s jokers and clowns 😂

To me it will be very interesting to see what he will do from now on.

Humane has already tried and failed spectacularly at this. I'm sure potential investors are at the very least skeptical about such devices after the AI Pin mess, even if Sir Ive himself was to be involved.

"A beautiful, buttonless brooch that seamlessly blends into all fashion styles. Designed with thinness in mind. Magical. Revolutionary. Etc."

Unless we're at generalized AI level and at least 5G connectivity is all over the place, allowing for nearly instantaneous response times, a device like this is nothing more than a fevered dream.

We're visual creatures but sure keep investing billions in the ideology of a screenless device

Exactly, if people wanted to speak primarily to their phones/assistants, it would have happened years ago. I think the only time I want something like this would be when driving.

As you behold this expensive, cutting-edge glass slab in your hands, which no doubt cost thousands of dollars to acquire, you are left with nothing to gaze upon other than your own reflection.
Coming soon: the Apple/io/OpenAI "nAIarcissus"

This is making me think of every episode of 90’s Star Trek where the characters have to provide detailed vocal instructions to the computer to get it to do anything it wants.

LaForge: "Computer, subdued light."
(the lights go completely out)
LaForge: "No, that's too much. I don't want it dark, I want it cozy."
Computer: "Please state your request in precise candlepower."
LaForge: "See, it's not a matter of precision, Computer, it's a matter of mood. Brighter than this."
(lights brighten)
LaForge: More.
(lights brighten)
LaForge: More.
(lights brighten)
LaForge: A little more.
(lights brighten)
LaForge: Perfect, hold right there.

That would have taken 3 seconds with a slider on the screen or a physical dimmer switch.

Your scenario is obviously using Siri. This new thing won’t use Siri 😀

Let him be. Hes out of touch with this world by now. Let him live in his own bobble. No one needs to pay any attention to this genius when hes is not supervised by SJ. At leas we have got some beautiful macs in the past and I'm grateful for that!
