oh, ok... NOW I get it

Ashton Krutcher as Steve Jobs...

Josh Gad as Wozniak...

... both sitcom / TV / comedians with little resemblance to the actual people they portray...

The only explanation... IT'LL BE A COMEDY/MUSICAL THAT WILL EVOLVE INTO A SITCOM SERIES!!!

So, here are some suggestions:

Adam Sandler as Jon Ive

Jon Cryer as Bill Gates

and Ed O'Neill or Michael Richards as Tim Cook...?

Although perhaps they should consider Cosmo Kramer as a candidate to play Woz's crazy scientist character...

So, who else can we cast for this (yet another post-Jobs money-maker) project? :D

cheers!

PS. must acknowledge Gad's great work in Broadway with The Book of Mormon (after a couple of not so great appearances in The Daily Show - perhaps because of the writers or the characters they gave him). Good for him he's getting new opportunities.

Horrible Choice

Josh Gad is an "undesirable". Steve is a likable guy, who appears clean and just a little hip. Gad doesn't even come close to that persona, especially in his voice and acting. I don't think Gad will be able to touch Steve's deep Polish humor, let alone portray a character who pioneered the computer industry.

Any professional actor with remotely similar looks to these guys will be fine. It's their job to become other people, with all the studying of character that follows. For example: I heard someone cry out that Kutcher wouldn't be a good Jobs "despite the role in The Butterfly Effect". Well, he wasn't trying to be Jobs in The Butterfly Effect, was he?

I am looking forward to seeing how this movie plays out. Hopefully it won't be a bust because of the actors.
