Yup, because forums are for all kinds of Apple users, not just those who high-five any attempt at excusing negative behaviour, which occurs in plenty corporations.

Sure, let’s celebrate 6 years of demeaning of the clock bag checks for almost 15000 people.

But then, how do I make this relatable to anyone who refers to a shill like Rene Ritchie as the voice of reason?
ok keyboard warrior.. you win. ...

Approx $2,077.23 per employee, assuming they all get paid equally, enough for a new MacBook Air M2 without the slow ssd.

Is it because they checked the bags or because they were not paid for those additional minutes? I did a summer job at Siemens factories as a student and they did bag checks almost every day

Were you paid for the time it took to check your bag? Personally I don't have a problem with the bag checks b/c as apple argued the employees could have left their bags in their cars or at home. Not being paid for the time is a separate matter and I believe the employees should have been paid for that time. Although now thinking about it, perhaps they brought their bags into the store knowing they could get an additional hour of paid time per week for doing nothing, lol.

Nope, it was done after clocking out but there are multiple exists and not everyone leaves at the same time so it certainly didn’t take additional 15 minutes every day

I have no doubt there are many companies around the world who have done this. It was either last year or the year before that it was reported that a large sporting goods retail company in the UK, Sports Direct got caught out for doing the same thing at it's warehouses.

It takes what, 30-60 seconds to check a bag?

So who are you going to sue now when you get stuck in traffic and don’t make it home in time to watch your cartoons?

So you would be happy to clock off at the end of your shift then wait in line to have your bag checked before you could leave the building? If only Apple had employee's who thought like you.

Been there, done that.

I’m just of age where I don’t believe you sue because you don’t get your way or because you don’t like something and you think you’re entitled.

"embarrassing and demeaning" is ridiculous. This happens at the majority of manufacturing and distribution centers for a reason. And most are done after the employee clocks out. You don't like it find a new job. What's next ? Employees suing because it takes an extra 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

Well you are one of a rare few then and an employers dream, a person who will allow an employer to keep you back on your own time to have your bag security checked. I am just glad the world is not overly populated with people who have the same opinion as you because employers would take advantage of such people.

Well that’s how people roll in the 21st century now. Work related stuff gets done on paid work time. A rather just concept.
