Didn’t think I was going to get it this month.

You can somewhat tell what it should be. It is randomized out of about 6 different tasks, will select one, and then push slightly higher than how you did in the last month. So, if you had double your move goal 20 times last month, but walked or ran 130 miles, if this month you get mileage, it'll be 130+ a bit so 132 or 135 or something similar.
If only the increment was that small. I had a 130 mile challenge a while ago, just about finished it after going out of my way. Then two challenges later got a 169 miler 😭

Congrats to those who got the challenge.

Unfortunately for me, mine was 261 miles. My watch became locked and I couldn’t unlock it as I got a message to many unlock attempts. This during my long run of 18 miles. Had to unpair / repair and lost my 18 miles that would have put me over my challenge. 😬
Ouch, that’s fully aggravating.

I took a dive this past Thursday morning, but nowhere near as serious as yours. Man, those pictures look scary.

When I doing my early morning (I leave the house around 5:15 AM) in the neighborhood, my foot caught on a sidewalk "gap" where there was about an inch vertical difference between 2 slabs of concrete. I hit the sidewalk a little hard, but sprung back up and kept running.

Got home and saw a circle of blood on my kneecap about an inch in diameter. Now it is scabbing over and I got in a 11.7 mile run this morning, so not too bad.

Here is my medical advisor telling me to suck it up and go run.

I get that... I'm having some joint issues, and it's DAMN HOT here, so some of the goals I can see as being 'Sublimate yourself by...'

One I thought was harder than crawling through broken glass drenched in Purell. But I woke up, and realized I still had a week until the next goal.

I have a Peloton, and the first month I rode it every day, I started having dreams that the instructor I liked was in my home, and I was on the bike, and it was just hell... I finally took a couple recovery days. I was shocked how real the dreams were.
Hmm...the instructor you liked...was in your home...yet: it was 'Hell'? Oh well, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar....

And I like the saying on an Under Armour shirt I bought: 'Same game, different levels. Same hell, different devils'. People are amazed how much I ride. I get the 'You rode over 100 miles?' blurted statement quite a few times, and the 'Can you walk afterwards?' To the bar, sure...

I did have someone stop me riding and ask if I was wearing underwear. 'Nope. It's the most fun you can have without underwear in public.' And they wanted 'proof': To feel my butt. 'Sorry sister, that's not on the menu...' OMG!!! Here, let me grope your ass? I have a Lycra fetish, and even I wouldn't ask that...

Right, but the algorithm looks at subsequent past challenges. Here's me: June 2021, 21,000 total calories. July 2021 Double move goal 9 times, but I did 12, along with 19247 total calories. August challenge: 19300 total calories.

If I burned everyhting in my house I could probably hit that calorie goal, but...

Did I start something? Something ironic, sarcastic, and maybe good?
I think referring to the "algorithm" or whatever AW uses to create your challenges as "Matrix" is all, ironic, sarcastic and good  ;)
Let's keep it that way ... The Matrix
