3 weeks? I'm past the month mark..it doesn't get any better. You just learn to frequently refresh your order status page multiple times a day and pray that you'll even get a window instead of "Available to Ship in June".
i am in the same boat!!!

Be carefully what you wish for.

I got an update 2 weeks ago (EOD) with a window for the watch which basically still means June.

The Milanese Loop remained on the generic June date. However today when I checked I did have a specific window: Delivers 22 - 29 June.

Really, for just a band more than 10 weeks. It confirms that the shortage is not the watch, its the bands. For me the worst: Even today the Apple Store shows ships June for a brand new order while my order is in since more than a month.

I hope once you get an update it's better than what I received.

Insane..10 weeks for a band!?
I think what's really driving me crazy is the "Available in store in June" thing that Apple has been pushing.
If someone can walk into a store and buy a watch the same day before I even get my watch that I pre-ordered..I won't be happy.
Well, I'm already unhappy but I'll just be unhappier.

Cheers bud! I know there's a ton of us on the forums who preordered within the first 24 hours and still waiting.
I would love to know why Apple is so mum on why they're falling this far behind on preorders.

Went from processing to "preparing for shipment" overnight.
Pre-ordered April 11th, Space Gray Apple Watch Sport with black band.

Anyone have any clue as to how long roughly things stay in preparing for shipment purgatory? One day? :) One week? A month? :(

couple hours to a day from what I've been seeing. I don't know when they "ship" but I'm sure there are certain times when they are picked up by the parcel service of your country. Probably a thread around here that states that too.

Oh okay, thanks the feedback.
I'm a little bit tense because it's been a long wait, and I am admittedly very anxious (I know, welcome to the club, right?)

What size did you order on 4/11?
We ordered a 38mm SG BSB on 4/10 around 7am EST. Charged on 4/12 (9pm) received tracking information yesterday morning. Should be delivered today. Unfortunately it's not my watch because I had to get the 42..bah.

Sorry, forgot to specify. 38mm for me :)
Out of shear curiosity, how long was your watch in "Preparing to ship?"

Pre-order is not a guarantee that you will get an item faster but is a guarantee that eventually you will get it regardless of stock at stores. Now I don't agree with it but Apple has done this for many products before. When the iPhone 6+ came out you could have pre-ordered and got the phone in late October or November or just wait until the store had stock and get it that way. I was able to get a 6+ that showed up one day and have it in my hands before someone that pre-ordered.

I think Apple should do it like most other products, I pre-order it and the day it comes out is the day I receive the item at my door step. The reason you pre-order would be to avoid what is going on right now.

No worries :)
I was gifted the 42mm and my best friend ordered himself the 38mm.
We've been tracking the orders together.
Charge time for the 38 (on 5/12) was about 9:30pm.
Tracking information available the next morning around 8am (may have updated overnight, I'm EST and he's CST so I was awake first).

Rough estimate? 12 hours between PFS and receiving tracking information. Don't get discouraged once you get the tracking information and don't see an update.

Pre-ordered 6+ about ~30 minutes after they went live and still received mine on launch day. I wasn't around for the iPhone 4 white fiasco, but I heard this is similar.
I agree 100%, pre-ordering should avoid this ****. I think I'm more frustrated by the lack of communication on Apple's part than the actual wait.

Tomorrow it will be 5 weeks since I ordered and haven't received any sort of communication since. I go on a 3 week vacation in June, so wouldn't start using the watch until July. It looks like every other product has a yearly release cycle, so I'm tempted to just cancel at this point and wait til gen 2. I have an appointment to get a quote on a new air conditioner after work, so depending on that cost I may just cancel our orders.

Did you order a 38mm or 42mm?

ordered on april 12th - still says june (42mm)

ordered my wife one yesterday - june 12-25th (38mm)

I have a feeling she will get hers first and she doesn't even know it is coming.

I don't see this being a yearly cycle as this can be upgraded with software updates. Then again, I could be wrong.

You mean the Apple Watch can't cool your home? I may be canceling my order too!;) Honestly, I'd rather have a cool house on a hot day than a warm house and Apple Watch. GOOD CHOICE! :D

Hi - I believe my CC was charged for the Applecare piece to my order this morning. It is $52.31 and I haven't ordered anything else from apple online.

Does this mean anything about my order? Or am I being too hopeful. Or is it Apple running a pre-authorization on my account again just like they did the first time (although that was for the watch and the applecare when I first ordered.

Ordered Black 42mm Sport on April 25th (evening).

Thanks

Preparing for shipment now!!!
Apple watch sport 38mm space gray

Ordered on April 10th, 11:30am EST
charged on May 13th

Applecare gets charged first and then the product should show and then processing changes to shipping. This could take a few more days or a few more hours just depends when Apple want to take your money. It is a good sign though :)

Thanks for this... I'm choosing to not get too excited! I bet apple were short of some cash, they probably needed to buy a screw for my watch so they're thinking if they take the applecare now, that helps them buy the screw. It will then take 20 days to make, ship and screw the one final part of my watch together and then be shipped. Thats what I think is happening.

Yeah, who knows at this point. I looked at the release cycles for iPhones and iPads when we were trying to figure out if we wanted to dive in to 1st gen or not with the watch and I was really surprised at how quickly new iPads were released. We had the 1st gen and didn't upgrade for a while (I think we have gen 4? The first one to use the lightning cable? Idk, it doesn't get a lot of use) but it looks like new models were out every year.

I'm with a lot of you here...I would say overall I'm an incredibly patient person so the wait doesn't bother me what DOES bother me is the total and utter lack of communication from Apple about the wait times.

I ordered the morning of the 11th, got a confirmation email immediately following and it'll be 5 weeks soon without one lick of communication from them about why exactly a watch is taking so long to get to me. Obviousky I'm tech interested so I read here and keep up with tech news so it's no surprise but really? A Fortune 500 company (arguably the most influential on the planet) can't send me a courtesy email to let me know any information on the product I've ordered from them? They can't update my account with a shipping estimate? After over a month after an order and all they can give me is a full month expecting time (June). By most all standards that's pretty piss poor. If a product isn't ready for prime time it's not ready for prime time. Hold your cards. I know their board had pressure on them to meet their Early 2015 release but I don't know if this launch exactly qualifies as 'meeting' that anyway.

Sorry, I know the last thing this forum needs is ANOTHER jackass going on about their first world problem of not having an Apple Watch. It is just a bit bothersome. Maybe because we hold Apple to much higher standards; for better or for worse.

I hope you are joking! Apple is by no means short on cash. Did you see their last earnings report? They have close to $15b in Cash & Equivalents at March 28, 2015. As others have posted, an Apple Care charge means the actual watch shipping is imminent.
