I ordered my 42mm Sport SG on 04/24. Just changed yesterday from June shipment to June 22-29. At least I have a date range now.

Almost everyone who ordered between Apr 11-30 got un updated shipping estimate of 5-6 weeks in the last couple of days.

Today I went to the Apple online store and noticed that the current shipping estimate for a new order of 42 SG is 6-7 weeks...

I don't suppose it makes much sense that someone who ordered five weeks ago will get their watch at the same time with someone who orders today, which makes me even more optimistic that we will get our watches before Jun 22-29.

"Almost everyone" indeed.. I didn't but Apple can't help me they say unless I give them an order number of someone who ordered after Apr 16 (when I did) and got an updated shipping estimate but nobody wants to send their order number so they tell me they can't help me any further :(

I hope I'm proven wrong but it appears they are queuing them up by country and making them in large single batches and shipping them all at once. If that's the case then that explains why all orders after the first hour(s) of preordering are being lumped with the orders placed weeks later.

I have no doubts that we will get our preorders before stores and second wave countries, but the current shipping windows provided by Apple indicate we likely get them days before and not weeks before like we are hoping. Debbie Downer I know..stepping back I have to say that's a pretty good problem to have if that's your only problem.

Crazy that only a few hour difference between orders on the same day can literally mean 1+ month difference between delivery.

In the Black Stainless Steel thread the difference is only about 1 minute between having it now and no idea when it's coming. If you ordered after the 3 minute mark you are pretty much out of luck.

I ordered a black 42mm sports watch with black strap on April 28th and got an ETA of June 22-29. Which is a pain in the ass as I'll be in South Carolina then and was hoping it would get delivered before I headed down there.

I had hoped that now the first wave of Space Black with Link Bracelet was starting to move, my "June" window would at least get updated with an actual date range, even if still within June. Nope, still just "June".

The difference is that we wouldn't have spent the extra month checking our order status 50 times a day.

Exactly! I've wasted a month of my life checking order status. But hey, the good part was getting to spend way too much time on here talking to cool people!:D

Now that's comedy!

Well I hope you are right!

Interesting how 38mm can ship as soon as one week, and 42mm are all at least 5 weeks. Someone ordering a 38mm now might get their watch a month sooner than someone who preordered a 42mm on April 10!

Anyone on the fence on sizing could save some money and still get a watch in May by switching their 42mm order to 38.

I'm in the same position. Ordered a 42 SBSS at 08:32 on launch day. My estimate is just 'June' too.

My friend who ordered a 42 SG BSB originally had 'June' but now has 27 May to 6 June.

I can only assume the number of people who ordered SB is so low they can't work out when it will be logistically viable to ship them?

I ordered my 42mm SS Black Leather Loop on 4/11 and also have the end of June window. I think they think if you ordered their more expensive combos that you are going to be willing to wait for whenever they feel like getting to your order. I am tired of seeing posts of people who ordered quite a while after I did with a cheaper combo, proudly declaring how fast their order shipped. I talked with an Apple rep today and expressed my frustration and how I am thinking about canceling, and her response was to say to me, "Please don't, just keep hanging in there. Apple is working so hard to fill orders." What a load of crap. I don't think Apple cares anymore about its customers. They used to, but no more. They seem to want to cater to celebrities. They keep "gifting" them to so many. How about "gifting" people who ordered with their orders and make celebrities wait since they aren't paying for theirs.

If we put it in perspective, Android Wear had less than 800 thousand units sold in the last year, not including pebble and other watches of that ilk. The rumor is Apple sold more than the AW in the first day alone. If they are going by the market trend, their estimate on demand would've been fairly low. Even if they did 700 thousand different watches (which I honestly feel is an over-estimation), they're still a few hundred thousand short for the first day alone! Couple that with work shortage and parts failing, and orders continuously streaming in, it's safe to assume that what they're cranking out now is astonishing considering the demand.

And also, keep in mind, your bank also has to deal with your orders. If you and your friend purchased the same thing at the same time, there's a good chance their bank was authorized for the funds before yours. It's not just Apple at play here. This machine has a lot of moving parts.

Just my opinion.

I ordered my 42 SS with Milanese Loop on the 11th April around 8am UK GMT and I haven't seen any movement in my status either. It still shows "June" and hasn't updated to show anything any more specific yet.

I would hope that I would be in the first part of the month as others have ordered a lot later than me, and still have a generic June estimate, or have been updated to show a dispatch in the second half of the month.

In my experience (I work on financial IT systems) that's very unlikely to be a factor. Certainly in my case it is my credit card, not the bank, which would need to authorise the transaction and the Visa network in Europe processed 35 billion transactions in 2014. At worst a spike in activity would be caught up in a matter of minutes.

Banks in other parts of the world may have slower processing perhaps (not a dig, just a reality).

Here's something that's not technically a "June" item, but I wanted to mention it as it's kind of curious to me. I received an email from Apple on Friday evening regarding my 42mm Green Sport that initially (when I ordered it on 5/1 in NYC) had a status of "July", but within the past couple of days changed to 6/23-7/8. The email really didn't tell me much... it just said:

"Your Apple Watch Sport 42mm Silver Aluminum Case with Green Sport Band is expected to ship within the next 5 to 7 weeks.

When your order ships, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with tracking information.

For the most up-to-date information about your order, please visit online Order Status."

First question: is this the EOD (Email of Death) that people who ordered on launch day had been mentioning?

What I find curious is that I didn't receive any emails regarding the other two watches I have on order, both of which changed from "June" to 6/22-6/29 (one 42 white sport and one 42 black sport).

Any thoughts? One conspiracy theory could be that Apple is really trying to get the watches into their stores sometime in June, and so they want to reassure the July people that their watches may actually arrive in June.

that's the thing, though. The "matter of minutes" is a HUGE issue when we're looking at limited stock and high demand. Why do you think we are seeing posts like "my friend ordered his watch three minutes after me but he got his watch and I'm stuck waiting until the end of June!" Well, the bank/credit union/financial institution your card came from didn't work as fast as your friend's did. That "matter of minutes" is a big deall in cases like this.

My card had an error that I did not catch for about 18 hours, but it did not effect the actual order time at all. I made sure to confirm that with Apple.
