If we're lucky, with Bill Gates now only partially watching over Microsoft, Mr. Balmers' jumping johusafat antics will eventually lead the company overbloated and soft and eventually bought out or just that no more sales in the desktop swell its coffers. Lets also hope that alternatives (Windows Server = OS X Server or Linux Server, SQL Server = MySQL / Oracle DB, MS Office = OpenOffice or any variation ) begins to thrive and allow for multiple platforms to enjoy a shared space in the home/office.
