How good is Ubuntu? I've heard some nice things about it but not much.
I used Debian on this old thing for a little while on mine but I got sick of the wild goose chase trying to get java and flash to work downloading file after file to keep coming to dead ends after days of installing the dependencies when it came to getting the packages installed so I said FUGGIT and bought 10.5 other than that I liked it.

It's pretty good now. I remember using SuSE 6.4 when I was about 13, and in 10 years, Linux has gone very far and really, the only thing stopping me fully move to Linux is my iPhone. apt-get is the package manager for debian based distributions, and is almost like the iPhone app store, so has loads of good apps and is awesome.

and made my own stickies icon, also replaced the picture
for the mail icon, and the pictures of the lady for the photo booth icon
