Perhaps I should have said don't rely on MR for jail breaking advice? Go to a forum that's full of people interested in and actually focused on the topic? I was jail breaking since the days of the 78 step command line based jail breaks (down from the 150+ line forerunners). I don't trust MR for technical advice beyond PRAM/NVRAM resets.

Go to the actual nerds, not the GIANT community with a massive range of technological ability.

As another poster pointed out, the OP said he got tons of advice from users here....but the thread in question only had one person (a newbie) that gave him the advice.
What about the Jailbreaking forum on here?

Yes, it is totally Apple's fault that you are buying a product which doesn't work the way you want it to and have to spend time, money, and effort working around Apple's implementation of their software. Seems to me, that you would be better off using Android devices.
No it's Apple's fault that they run their company like dictators and force useless and irritating "features" on us with no option to customize or turn them off.

I'm not sure what you mean. These "security" updates also prevent me from setting my device up the way I like it, and I am forced to work around all of Apple's pointless and cumbersome "features" that do nothing but slow down my user experience. It's honestly ridiculous I'm having to jump through all of these hoops to use a device I spent a lot of money on the way I want. I'm a loyal Apple customer.

So loyal that you hack your own features into a device (that you knew very well what it was capable of before purchasing I guess) and then complain when something doesn't work. It's not really Apple's problem if you refuse to vote with your wallet, in my opinion.

I'm guessing they force you to buy their products too?

I like jailbreaking too and I had to give up my jailbreak when I got my Apple Watch. I'm still without one but oh well. Just wait for a new jailbreak like everyone else, or return the watch. Those are your options.

Most people who feel that way wouldn't buy Apple products. Why do you support/reward dictators?

As is said in investment circles, past performance is not indicative of future performance. Just because someone personally hasn't recognized they have been compromised doesn't mean they aren't compromised or that they won't be in the future. Every "hit" iOS users have experienced have been those with jailbroken devices. I'm technical and could jailbreak my iPhone or anything else if I wanted. But I don't for security and other reasons.

Sorry things are a bit more difficult for the OP where the watch is concerned. That's the joy of customizing OS's or dealing with unstable software.

Lesson learned. Never trust these forums for technical advice. Look on the bright side, you won't have to worry about being seen wearing an Apple Watch.

What's wrong with being seen wearing an Apple Watch?

It's not the end of the world. You either keep your jailbroken phone or you can simply just return or sell your Apple Watch. Problem solve.:D

What do you mean 64 GB? if refering to storage for the 7, it only comes in 32/128/256 GB variant.
I read somewhere on here that it would only work w 64 GB which wouldn't make sense if the 7 is only available in 32-128-256

I think you are confusing it with 64 bit devices. It will only work with 64 bit devices, which is the 5S and newer.

I didn't feel like reading this thread but out of curiosity will apple downgrade to an earlier version for you?

I did this when I had beta watchos on my gen1.

Don't think/know that they'll downgrade to specific versions for jb reasons tho

Jailbreak is not guaranteed to happen, neither the stability of it assuming it shows up. Upgrade your phone like everyone else and enjoy the watch.

I have never heard of anyone who took their watch to Apple and had them downgrade the OS. It's always been posts like the above person who said they will do the downgrade.

Just return the watch, it's pretty useless to you since your jailbreak is more important. :) next time just ask in jailbreak reddit forum or the discord if you have jailbreak issues.
