I couldn't use a 4.7 inch phone. I got my first 'phablet' in 2012- The original galaxy note and have always preferred the bigger screen size. On a few occasions I tried out the S4 and S5. Even at 5.1-5.2 inches I found these to be too small and regretted downsizing from the Note that I had been using previously.

I find the iPhone 6s + to be the prefect size, although I would go bigger if Apple offered a bigger phone. On top of that I wouldn't give up the 1080p, excellent battery life and OIS.

The size isn't the issue with the 6S Plus, it's the weight. It's noticeably heavier than not only the 6S, but last year's Plus too.

Yes, that 1.73 ounce difference is amazingly noticeable between the 6S and 6S Plus. The 0.73 ounce difference with the 6 Plus is noticeable, too. Anything over a half-ounce difference and sweat starts pouring off my forehead if I have to move anywhere farther than from my couch to my 'fridge for a beer. At least I'm losing some weight carrying my honker 6S Plus; I think I've lost 10 pounds since I got it.

Truth be told, the larger phone tends to rip a hole in the bottom of my cargo pants pocket (only pocket I can cram it into). It's broken through the bottom of my messenger bag several times. My hand and arm hurt lifting that extra 1.73 ounce up to my ear - I've spent a ton on pain relievers, way more than the price difference between that tiny 6S and my behemoth of a cell.

I can't go back, enjoy the extra functionality the plus size gives. I use my phone for everything when I'm out and about...

WOW!
First of all, aside from everything else, the SIZE is the one thing I am absolutely in love with! THIS is how a phone should feel! Sure the 6 plus size was great for movies and gaming and stuff but man, as a phone, it was kind of awkward to hold and to carry. I feel like the regular 6s is PERFECT for regular everyday use. It's not mega tiny like the 5/5S but it's not gigantic either. In my honest opinion, I think it's the perfect size.

The extra RAM. Holy moly. My 6 Plus lagged like crazy doing anything. This 6S just flies compared to it. I should mention though, I haven't installed all my hundreds of apps yet and it's only one day of use so i'm kinda jumping the gun here but I can already tell, theres no regular stuttering that I experience from simple things like just opening settings or mission control or whatever. Also, things open up almost instantly. That's something that was really bothering me with my 6 Plus, it felt like I was using a computer that had a really slow CPU and and low RAM but with a giant monitor. I will take speed over display any day of the week!

I am still keeping my 6 Plus, it's going to be my backup phone and it will still be nice to play games and stuff on it but man, I am so happy I jumped to the 6S.

Oh and Live Photos are pretty awesome! I feel like it's something I won't fully appreciate until years from now and i'm looking at old photos that had it enabled, it will be nice to kind of live in that moment so to speak.

3D Touch is also pretty cool. I feel like with time though, it will get better.

But yeah the speed gains alone make this an awesome phone.

Thank you Apple, I still love your devices and you still have that magic!

I would have bought the 6s but I just can't justify paying full price for 326ppi in 2016. I have an iphone 5 and can notice the pixels and fuzziness compared to the 6 plus. The 6 plus looks so much sharper and crisper. Kudos to apple for introducing high ppi into devices in the iphone 4, but for goodness sake, thats the 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s and still no increase in sharpness. This is a big issue for perceptive people with good near sight, the iphone 4 326ppi was a revolution, but in 2016 it is not good enough. That is literally the only thing that stopped apple getting a sale from me, as I think the 4.7 size is probably ideal.

Absolutely . . . I'm trying to use the 6S+ right now because the screen is that much better that the 6S. If the screens were equal pixel density I'd go with the 6S because it lends itself to one handed usage.

An iPhone's physical size should be a differentiator, but I don't think pixel density should be. Hopefully this won't be the case with iPhone 7.
