I currently have the iPhone 8 256GB with Apple care plus and just got the iPhone X white model with 64GB’s.

I also got Apple care plus!!

I’m so excited.

Anything I should know off the bat about this phone?

Ahhh this is so cool!!!! :D :D

My only advice to you specifically, is don't go looking for problems with it, enjoy it for what it is and don't read too deep into everything on a tech forum.

This phone is bananas haha I’m drooling. I plan doing what you said just enjoying it!!!

Yes, don't fall into a spiral of tech-neurosis, checking for accurate color temperature, screen uniformity, blue or pink tinting, dust in the camera housing, and seamless transitioning between the front and back cover glasses with the stainless steel band. And don't even think about conferring Coconut Battery to see the true battery capacity of your specific unit. Enjoy!

I actually ended up checking out each of those things ha ha!! Luckily I have NONE of those thank God!!!

I’m so happy rn :)

Just got mine today. I think I have the opportunity to buy AppleCare for a short time since I didn't buy with phone.

Let’s see if someone posts a screenshot of the correct date. We literally have 3 different answers to the amount of time you have to put Apple Care on the X

60 Days. Per this screen shot pulled from apple website.

From Apple: Applecare+ for iPhone X ($199.00)

How to get AppleCare+

Add it to your bag during the checkout process when you purchase your new iPhone.

Or buy it within 60 days of your iPhone purchase. Your iPhone purchase date is the date we ship and charge you for your order:

  • Online (requires you to verify your serial number and run a remote diagnostic)
  • At an Apple Retail Store (requires inspection of your iPhone and proof of purchase)
  • By calling (800) 275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

Exactly! I actually never look too deep into my iPhones. Never have experienced any type of problem till date. Just enjoy what it's for.

There have been reports of specs of dirt or some other foreign substance on the camera lens. I saw one thread from a guy who claimed he was on his 5th (???) X.

That being said, my advice is don't go breaking out any magnifying glasses... because if you look long enough you'll find a microscopic spec of dirt or some some scratch that is .0000000003 inches long and will warrant a return.

I'm not that anal... but if you are... you've been warned.

I bought Apple care when I bought the phone. 60 days are a lot of days to potentially drop it

You know what’s nice? Apple Care is included with my carriers insurance, no not T-Mobile.

Perhaps not use full brightness, as that could cause screen burn in over time. Been known to happen with the Samsung's, and since they're using their screens, well...

I just ordered mine yesterday so I should be getting it in 2-3 weeks. I'm also quite excited. :)

Apple Care was included with my insurance as well, yes T-Mobile.
