Ok I heard from the seller, it will be here Friday most likely. Now its time for me to buy cheap accessories off of Ebay. I already have an Apple remote on my list. Anything else to add to my list? Is there a good mouse out there anyone can recommend?

Here's a great deal on Applecare. $182.00 including shipping. This is a fraction of what Apple or any authorized service center will charge for a repair. If you would rather throw your cash away on accessories first and ignore the Applecare then it's your risk.

Mouse, USB Hub, iPod Nano 4g to go with it, USB Hard Drive/Flash Drive, wireless/wired keyboard...

Thanks for advice. I will try to pick up an apple mouse or maybe a logitech vx. The USB hub is also a good idea. Now back to apple care...

I still have awhile until the apple standard apple care runs out. So there's no need to worry for a few months, right? Also like Ive said before money is a little tight and when summer time comes, sometime around there I'll find out if I'll still have a job. If so, I'll then buy apple care as well as an external LCD, and maybe 4gb ram.

Thanks

better to wait near the end of the standard warranty to get apple care just in case you void your warranty before that. and I love my logitech mx mouse.

Doesn't matter if he does that. If he voids his warranty in the second or third years he can have AppleCare prorated and refunded back to him.

Other perks about Applecare:
  • You are told you must pay $1259 for repairs you don't want
  • you can not get the computer fixed unless you pay up
  • you get accused of spilling liquid on it
  • you get told that apple computers "don't have that problem", so Apple can not cover the problem under applecare
  • you have to spend 4 hours driving to and from the nearest Apple store, hoping that they are nicer then Apple phone support
  • Apple will assume that you will steal any user-replacable parts, and ask you for credit card information before sending anything out to you

Just for an alternative view point. ;)

Don't get me wrong, Apple care can be good, but sometimes the people who you deal with are insane!

I have never had a problem with Applecare......

They have never told me my machine was not covered......and they only once asked me for a credit card swipe before sending out a replacment PSU, i told them i diden't have one....at the time that was true, and they sent the psu out with no card needed....

In returning a 12 inch PB and recently a white MB for replacement i was never asked for a credit card swipe, and the replacements were sent to me as soon as UPS had picked them up......Apple even told me to keep my remote because it works with my new unibody MB.........

A lot has to do with how you talk to the reps on the phone......i am very nice and calm, and i allmost allways get what i want.....

Applecare rules for me.......

I've never had a problem with AppleCare. They've always been friendly and helpful, even though a few haven't been as knowledgeable as they should... regarding wireless networking with a PC. They replaced an Airport Express for me... overnighted the replacement with no credit card information asked... and let me send the defective one back in the same package. Overall, I've found AppleCare to be well worth the investment!
