Upgrade went flawless, that's a good thing. But I'm not convinced that I will buy Lion for the other 2 Mac's in my house why? (Before someone asks: The other 8 devices are 6 IOS and 2 iPod)

- I have to figure out if I prefer Mission Control over spaces
- lost access to my Buffalo Homeserver NAS. Why don't they warn you upfront for that. This means no access to music and pictures on the new iMac (that was not the purpose of the purchase) or copy 500 gig to another NAS (I have the diskspace) and reconfigure everything else in my home office including Sonos and other media players backup systems etc.
- now to do all of that just for launchpad and full screen apps....I might downgrade if it's as easy as the upgrade.

I guess this is not the right forum to complain...

Complain away, you just need to have thick skin.

I've only upgraded my secondary systems to Lion. It breaks some utilities but generally is ok. If it cost $129 I definitely would not have upgraded. My main system will stay with Snow Leopard for the foreseeable future.

The only Lion feature I miss is the automatic spell correction in all apps like my old iPad did. I actually like that.

Cheers,

You're right it's not the best place to complain, in this case the best place to complain to is Apple :p

i don't mean any offence here at all, but forums are usually a place for discussion or to ask for help. You've obviously had some issues sorting this out and generally aren't a happy customer which is understandable, but if you insist on just posting one-way ranting without any two-way discussion people will just flame you.

Agree totally on your NAS issue though, Lion has caused a lot of issues for SMB sharing which for me has resulted in "work arounds" for things that worked perfectly before.

oh, if in the unlikely event you want upgrade your other Macs I'm sure you only pay once.

Check to see if Buffalo has updated firmware....Synology came out with a firmware update to fix the SMB problem with Lion.

Absolutely! Totally agree--nothing wrong with complaining. Just try not to take comments too personal. Forum users are generally quite vocal and you really have to develop good filtering tools to gleam the information that is useful to you. :)
