Has anyone noticed some videos seem like they’re 60fps?

Videos from the US tend to be, if I set my ATV to 50hz as I’m in the U.K. then some videos are jumpy, set to 60hz and they play fine.

I just had a video give me the option to stream at 2160p. I haven’t updated the app or anything.

it was this video

Yes finally I’ve got it too,

It’s a shame movies are restricted to 1080p though, wonder if we’ll ever get those playing in 4K at some point.

Deleting app, restarting  tv, and re-download of YT, worked for me so thanks! But no HDR 😢

update: so now I’ve realized that it’s dependent on my connection, it works in the bedroom but not in the living room through the receiver-even though every other app works fine 4K/HDR through that same cable and receiver but it will work in the living room connected directly to the tv so yeah not the best implementation

Any update on this? I saw people claiming the update got pushed out, but both of my ATV 4Ks are still maxing out at 1080p on YouTube

I was back to getting 4K this afternoon after I force closed down the app and opened it again.
I’m wondering if there’s something else at play that determines whether or not you see 4K?

I have been checking since MacRumors posted the article last week and still have yet to see anything above 1080p. Seems like this should have been resolved by now.

And it’s back to HD again

This worked for me. Thanks for posting.

Mine worked for all of a day and now back to 1080p max. Oh well, I guess it is too much to ask for this stuff to just work.

I had to delete/reinstall the YouTube app multiple times on my ATV before I started getting 4K.
