Correct lol, read the first pages of the manual. If no anti static strap use a radiator pipe to ground yourself!

I checked the connection and it seemed firm after i reconnected it and i didnt see any cracks on the motherboard so thats good. Seems like its just the LCD scree then huh?

I was wondering if someone could help me out and maybe figure out what it is i would really appreciate it. And also how much the cost would be.

Bang it through your home contents insurance. If they cannot repair it and if you have 'new for old' cover you will get a shiny new macbook for the small amount of your excess payment.

I had this exact issue except the whites became purple!

I ended up twisting my screen (grabbing the top corners and pushing / pulling) a bit and it went back to normal.
