Just got a nice 500MHz Graphite iMac

All G3 and G4 systems that do not natively support large drive can use third party drivers to be able to support them. Only the models mentioned above have hidden native support within OpenFirmware to be able to use large drives without third party tools.

It actually turned out to be a 120GB, so I halved it and everything works. OS 9 flies like a bird shot out of a cannon on this thing.
Now: 1GB Corsair 1333MHz RAM, 7200RPM 120GB Maxster HDD, WiFi->Ethernet adaptor (cheaper than a wificard and OS 9 doesn't have WPA2-PSK drivers).

How's the CRT look on it?

Actually pretty good. Sometimes I notice some lines on the grays, but that might just be because I've haven't used a CRT regularly since 2002. All the colors are vibrant and it is almost as bright as my LCD on my MBP.

Since you wrote that the second time: you mean to say 2x512MB 133MHz SDRAM (1333MHz is DDR3-SDRAM!)

Yeah. Whoops, just built a nice PC lately, getting those numbers meh. Anyway, I am pursuing a PowerBook G4 Titanium in Colorado. Would anyone care to pick it up incase the seller doesn't want to ship (craigslist)?

Only payed $30! I guess my incessant whining about the over-pricing finally payed off.

Currently, I am playing a toddler game I played 12 years ago, memories hahahaha.

It is running 9.2.1, and has a boatload of software installed. Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Dreamweaver, iTunes (and more, haven't sifted through the drive yet).

I plan to upgrade the 3.5" IDE to something quieter, after that, it will be as silent as a mouse :D.

The speakers sound a bit tinny (dusty), but the case has virtually no scratches, the CRT is very bright, and the CD drive works speedily (not like my failing Cube).

The problem with the speakers is that the rubber surround is rotting and the speakers in these IMac's have no inner suspension, so once the foam rots, you'll hear lots of rattling.Other than that this IMac is very nice!

I have a soft spot the size of Texas for the Titaniums. Yeah, I figured that was the issue. Might look at buying some after market ones to place in there.
