This is the weirdest thing because my Amex account was charged right when I preordered that night....
Mine was too, but only for the Applecare. 7 days later, they charged for the iPad. Charged for the iPad on Monday, delivering on Friday, although its been sitting 2 states away for 18 hours with a 3pm delivery tomorrow. I'm thinking it may not make it.

Just saw I was charged, used the app to order, didn't use apple pay. Space Grey 6s+ 128gb. (paid in full)

Just a question. But since this two week window has never happened with iPhones before. What is the purpose of charging us 8 days before it arrives? I know its just guesses but that's pretty early if you think about it.

So they can fill their bank account, hah :) Who knows, maybe we'll get them tomorrow (NOT). Seems a bit odd to charge it an entire week early though, glad I've got 0% on my credit card for 18 months so I'll have time to pay it off, versus having to eat interest a week before it's even here.

It's possible Apple has their stock in gear this time around and they are shipping at a slower speed instead of 2 day for everyone's devices. That kind of cost cutting move would save them a lot of money. So they could charge you today, ship say Monday next week and you would get your device by Friday. Instead of charging over the weekend, running around monday and tuesday getting ready for shipping. Then Wednesday shipping a ton of devices and making sure they hit people's front doors by Friday.

Haha yea its all about the money. Yea it's pretty early in the process but who knows. Apple knows what they're doing and as long as I get mine next friday I'm happy.

Apple charged my card today for a 6s+ 64gb Silver, ordered at 12:25 AM. Still not "preparing for shipment" though.

I ordered the same phone through Verizon 15 minutes before I got my order through on Apple.com and still nothing. Going to cancel through Verizon tomorrow.

Sigh, still no charge on my Amex. I'm expecting delivery on the 25th. I ordered at 12:08am PDT through the Apple App on 9/12. Live in USA.

Same with me. Only for Apple Care

Have not been charged yet. Ordered 6S Plus at 1030AM CST with Delivery date of 25th. Waiting on that notification from Discover!

I decided to check again. For some reason I thought it would directly come out of my checking
account. It shows as a pending transaction on my Visa.

I ordered "Contract Free" so full price iPhone 6S+ 1 128GB Space Grey and 1 128GB Rose Gold neither of my Apple Gift Cards have been charged yet other then the AppleCare+ which was charged the second I hit the Submit button...
