AT&T won't let me activate
This happened to the other girl who got it! I think their systems switch over tomorrow.
The picture on the box looks like a 4s. I can see the gap on the side on the top and bottom and the metal band. Isnt that just for the 4 and 4s? I thought the 5 didn't have that metal band on the sid????
No it does not.... Look at the icons. Six rows, not five as on the 4s/4.
What you need to do it take a photo of it from 20 different angles on 5 of todays newspapers showing the date, then provide us with photos of your passport, drivers license, 3 months worth of utility bills and various examples of your handwriting.

That doesn't make any sense why you can't activate it. If you have the phone you should be able to activate it??
Not if AT&T's servers aren't allowing activations. They know what version a device is, and perhaps Apple has strictly forbidden activations before tomorrow.

You have to admit however, that one single photo, with a post it note that could be photo-shopped isn't entirely convincing...
relax people, he probably works at a reseller that got their stock in today and just took a picture of it...he can't open it b/c they can't be sold until tomorrow
While there are always people that get it early, something just doesn't seem right about the picture.
It's easily faked, print a picture and put it on top of an old iPhone box replace the shrink wrap. The wrap looks pretty loose as it is.

I do admit it is a bit odd not to have a photo of the phone out of the box.
I was just having a general dig at some of the people who call troll at everything and everything really.
I think it's valid to call 911 because ATT won't activate your iPhone 5. Some people call 911 when they get ripped off on drug deals or are refused service at McDonalds for chicken nuggets.

It was a joke playing off poeple asking for a live stream of the unboxing and the only thing you can do with an unactivated iPhone is make emergency calls. maybe I should have asked him to live stream putting another post-it note on the box.
Replying to something by saying "this" adds no value and you're just wasting space on the internet.
The OP is clearly some random customer that got the phone delivered early, and has no idea how to take more than 1 photo or activate their phone.
It's a shame somebody with zero clue is one of the first to get the phone.
OR, epic troll that nobody will give a **** about in a day when everybody has the phone.
You are right. He registered just before the 4S release and hasn't posted since until now. I make no senses at all. He does this on release dates.
