Just got my iPhone 5!

He might have gotten lucky and received it early, or he might be a store employee who took a picture of inventory.... It doesnt matter, in just 24 hours or less these boards will be flooded with people receiving their phones.

I'm assuming it's because the phone isn't actually supposed to be released until tomorrow. Kind of like how the carriers are (supposed to be) forced to wait to deliver the iPhones until tomorrow because that's the "official" launch date.

He's already stated that AT&T won't permit the activation of the phone, which is the same thing that happened to someone else on MR who received the phone early.

Good God, people on MR are testy these days.

Oh, gimme a break. Saying "this" tells the poster of that comment and anyone else who reads it, that someone else agrees with him. Don't go on a thread like this and lecture people about adding value or wasting space on the internet.
 
Congrats? Really? He didn't get into Harvard, or have a baby. He got a package that he paid for.

That is what I do. I show up here when I get a new MBA or iPhone or if I am having issues. Just don't post much.
 
I'm guessing the op took a picture of an iPhone 5 box that's at his work(bestbuy,Walmart,att) And it's not his that's why it isn't opened.

Spot on. I could have posted a pic of over a hundred of those boxes stacked up yesterday if I felt inclined.
 
I was rooting for this guy and trying to discredit the "trollish" comments but, come on now, no updates on pics of the iPhone out of the box?? I'm beginning to think it's really not his iPhone after all and, like others said, he works for a retailer and was able to snap a quick pic of the unopened box. :rolleyes:

Lord knows I would've taken several pictures and posted them by now.

Or talk about my thoughts of an actual phone I felt in my hand but couldn't switch on. Cagey but very true people. I'm sure there are many others in the same situation.
 
Congrats!

Test the camera, all the apps via wi-fi and more importantly, debunk the "scuff gate" so I can switch my order to black. :p Of course, post here the results or your first impressions, just ignore those you know who I mean.
 
I simply can not wait to see the pictures of the phone...

Ok, people have been picking on the poor guy and calling him a troll since page 1. I wouldn't stick around either.
