I'm sorry to say that, if the screen flicker you had was identical on your last one, it probably was not caused by hardware failure, but rather a software compatibility issue that seems to be limited to the 2016 MacBook Pro (which is why you don't have it with your 2013) - it seems almost certain Mozilla will fix the issue in future releases, and developer builds may already have a preliminary fix that they are seeding for general release.

Did calibrating the display help your current one look any better?

Yeah calibrating didn't really do much. I'm just going to try to get used to this one. I don't want to return/exchange and all that right now. It's a lot of hassle and I feel lame going in there and complaining about minor stuff. Makes me feel like I don't have a life other than to be finding problems with my screen all day lol.

Could always try google chrome or another browser. See if you get the same flicker behavior. Quick way to see if browser specific issue.

I'm convinced after the link it's prolly not the computer. Shame I returned the other one but that's how it goes.

JUST TRIED IT ON CHROME! Still flickering, actually it's worse on chrome.

On my 2015 13" retina MacBook Pro I get weird flickering videos on Chrome sometimes, especially on embedded videos. Safari doesn't have any of the issues. I'm wondering if it has to do with the Hardware acceleration. Heard that Chrome is using VP9 codex when possible and explains the absurd CPU usage watching videos on Chrome compared to safari.

I'll try safari and see and do the stuff @ZapNZs suggested today.

I'm still on Chrome and it hasn't happened again. Sooo I guess we'll see.

Hi folks. I just ordered an HP chromebook. It has a great screen like lots of pixels and aluminum finish on top. It might be perfect for my use which will be just youtube videos for music. It has bluetooth 4.2 as well which is important to me.
