Just Got My White Glass Backplate For My iPhone 4

Will be waiting patiently until the 10 day marker is up. At that point I will email them for a shipping refund. If they know there is a bomb scare postal checkup, they should send out my case even earlier with a quicker postal service. Either that, or change the information in the listing from 6-10 days to 10-14. I'm not a very patient person lol and it really frustrates me that these people take an entire week to post the item and then send it via a slow method. I expected this type of service from HK, not Canada.

I understand but there is nothing any seller can do to speed up the shipping process in this time. I have had a message from my seller stating there could be a delay due to the heavy volume of mail now leaving china.

Much to my surprise, I received my white glass backplate today. I don't understand how it got here so quickly from Canada (I live in UK) especially considering the seller told me he sent it on Friday. However the dispatched note says it was delivered on Tuesday. So it took exactly a week to arrive and the packaging was top notch. I put the backplate on (this is the first time I have ever done anything like this lol) and it was incredibly easy. The plate looks phenomenal and you can tell it's genuine OEM.

Absolutely love it with the black bumper. I will post some pictures later tonight (UK time lol) of the phone with the backplate. Might just make a new thread or something with a small written review. All in all, seller and product are both fantastic and I am glad I never bought anything from many of these other companies like Zeetron and iPhoneFixed who have accumulated a bad rep for past happenings.

I bit the bullet and purchased a white back from iresq over the weekend. I received it today, put it on, and it looks great. When I first tested the flash it was bleeding like crazy. It looked horrible. I took the back off and inspected it, and I noticed there was a thin piece of film on the inside of the backing that covered the flash hole, diffuser, and the black insulation strip on the side. Peeled that sucker off and took a few pics with the flash. No bleed whatsover, the flash quality of the pictures are equal to the flash quality produced when taking pictures with the black backing. So, I am very happy with the purchase and the backing. Finally got my white iPhone.

im also glad i read about that piece of film on the underside of the plate! would have been annoying taking it off again. you got any pics of the phone?

I think my second "$12 cheapo" backplate that we're all waiting for has finally been delivered, I'll post an update when I get home, oh and yes I know you're still waiting for a review of the "not so cheapo" one that I've already received, standby...

sweet thats the one i ordered too, you ordered yours a day before me i think so maybe mine will come tomorrow :D, heres to hoping. Looking forward to the pics of it!
 
Ordered the Ifixdirect kit for home installation, shipped today

Installed, looks good but the screen was defective, could not turn on. Reinstalled my old screen and it turned on just fine. Will be returning the defective screen for hopefully a new functional one.

So some good news for me today. My white backplate from ebay seller mobiletimes came. This was $54. Link below

I noticed in another thread that somebody was talking about them being real as there are black protectors to cover the apple logo. As you can see above, mine has just that, so is it as real as you can get?

So yea, i can pretty much recommend this - until it is installed it looks really good. I will install it later or tomorrow as i am feeling a little under the weather!
 
Thanks for the update on your back parts my friend, hope you are feeling well soon.

Before fitting it, please take a photo of a couple of subjects, then after fitment, take the same photos with flash of course for both. Also check to see if the flash leaks through the glass, this can be tested by switching the flash on, and covering it with your thumb, and view in a dark room.
 
Nice. Can you please take some photos with flash turned on with your original plate AND the white plate for comparison? Also see if there's any light leaking from the sides and how much of the flash shines through the white paint.

Dumb question - how do you turn the flash on without taking a picture? I have the "Flashlight" app but is there a way to do it through the native iPhone itself?

i have fitted it.

it is good quality however it is not as good quality as the real back one. I mean looking at it you cant really tell the difference between the quality, however my screws at the bottom are not sitting flush to the antenna band, its not noticeable if you look from a distance however if you look up close you can sort of tell!

all in all though, if any of you are on the fence about getting one, i still think these are definitely worth getting.
