Just Got My White Glass Backplate For My iPhone 4

We should note that this will void your warranty, even if you change both the front and back to the same color. Now the OP sold his original back plate, so that was a big mistake unless he is loaded :D

This will not void warranty, there is no sensor or anything like that which proves you have opened the rear. The rear backplates do not have serial numbers so I am not too concerned. Within my immediate friends I have 8 of them with iPhone 4's, including my wife. If I ever have a warranty issue I would just change my backplate and go in with the black one. They would never notice it was even molested. The switching out process literally takes under 1 minute.

Yeah I hear ya on that one..I actually like the white with the white bumper very nice.

Yeah I've seen that happening, I owned a few of those cases. Sucks that's the case with those for such a cheap solution, but you surely get what you pay for.
 
I like the black on white!

Anyways aren't those ultra cheap ones JUST the glass and not the full housing? Don't think I'm advanced enough to try to do that by myself. :)

With the Chinese to English translation is is hard to know, I figure they probably mean it is not "Full" housing because it is only the back of the phone (for iphone 3g they sell full housing which includes the front). But I guess I will have to wait and see :apple:

The glass only you have to pry away from the back panel. I shattered my back glass so I've done a lot of research on this.

For the quick and easy 2 screw fix you need a whole new back panel, not just the glass.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to wait and see exactly what I get. I figure at $10 I will gamble.
 
Here it is with a green bumper, still contemplating white, it's just there are no where to be found..

You can try getting just the white glass, which is far less expensive and using a heat gun to remove the black glass from the bezel.
 
We will probably start seeing a lot of shady Applecare claims where people have dropped their 4's, shattered the glass, bought a replacement for $100 and just taken the "broken, but no sign of physical damage" 4s in for Applecare claims.
 
do you guys think it will be possible that they will start having colored ones available.. I would love to put a pink or orange back on mine! :)

The original color will show up in the Firmware info..
