I just got off the phone and the lady seemed to know what she was talking about. She asked if I was planning on getting the new phone and such.
 
A phone upgrade has nothing to do with the ETF.

I'm assuming you're replying to Lara F, since you didn't quote anyone.
You misunderstood what she meant. If she decides to cancel right now, she will have a much lower ETF. If she waits out her contract, she will have no ETF.
If she gets the new phone, she will have the much higher ETF.

So yes, upgrading does have something to do with the ETF at this point in time. Even if they didn't change the ETF, it would, as upgrading resets you to the highest ETF price.

All of these posts about AT&T reps trying to pretend like the iPhone leak never happend are hilarious.

I recently busted my 3G a couple of weeks ago, and when I talked to a rep on the phone, the guy was really cool, gave me some options and we both talked about Macrumors and the new iPhone that is supposed to be coming out soon. :cool:
