He didn't say but they're sending it with a return label for the defective one.

That's what I implied about revised too. He asked me if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I asked him if all the cases were made loose like the one I received. He said no that there was a revised version that he could send me so I told him to go ahead and send it. We'll see when I get it

keep us updated, i might call today to inquire about their "best buy" product line since it suffers the same issue.

Well I received an email yesterday letting me know that the revised 6+ cases were coming next week and they would ship it to me then. I'll continue to update you guys as things evolve.

I assume revised means it isnt loose. So heres a question, is the surface for the 6 loose as well, will they be releasing a revised 6 version as well?

Yes, the Surface for the 6 is loose (at least the Best Buy version that I bought). My "fix" I wrote about above is working great. I don't notice any slippage inside anymore.

I wonder if the "revised" version will have a larger opening for the lightning port?

I'll get some pictures up next week when I get it.

Did you have to send your case in? They want me to send mine back, I called today about it saying I'm not gonna leave my phone unprotected for 2 weeks and then they said that the BB case doesn't even qualify for a RMA. What the ****

Ha! Go figure...I got this email back from them earlier this week with regard to my BB-purchased case:

Thank you for contacting Seidioonline.com. We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your SURFACE case for your iPhone 6. A few cases through Best Buy may have a manufacturing defect, we apologize for for any inconvenience but would be happy to replace it for you. The port sizes on this replacement would be the same, however we will pass along your feedback to our product team. All of our products are covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. To file for a replacement you may fill out a WSRMA request form here: http://www.seidioonline.com/Articles.asp?ID=135

So their policy does not seem consistent.

The reference in their reply to the port size is because I mentioned that a few Apple-branded lightning cables will not plug into the iPhone 6 with the case on because the port opening is not wide enough.

so confusing.. i guess post pics of what they send you. if you could quote me when you do i would appreciate it so this thread doesn't get lost amongst all the others, the whole loose case issue is annoying, the xtremeguard film temp fixed it, however now the sides are a little loose. so freaking annoying. if it wasn't for the awesome holster this **** would have been returned!

I just put the protective film on the back of my iPhone that it came with and it's perfect. No more looseness. I'm also double-protecting the back from scratches or anything by doing this, so I was not going to bother getting an RMA. If I don't have to send mine in, I might follow through, but I don't want to be without one since mine is working good now. (I also have a 45-day return window direct with Best Buy so I might check in a few weeks to see if they have the revised item).

I agree, too, that the holster is nice. Not as nice as a good leather holster but for a plastic one, the latch and all works well. I just find myself always double-checking and fumbling with seating it correctly.

No they said they would send me the new revised case and then I would send back the loose one. I still haven't received the case.

I sent them an email yesterday and I'm waiting for a response. Meanwhile I've been using the surface holster every day with the Apple leather case and I love it. I also bought an Apple silicone case yesterday and it fits perfectly in the holster as well.

I am planning to use this combination of the Apple leather case with the Seidio surface holster, but my concern is the fit and potential for wear. Does the phone feel loose or like it could fall out or get knocked out of the holster when it is in the Apple leather case? How well will the leather case hold up with the clip pressing against the top of it and with repeated removal/reinsertion of the case into the holster?

It's as if the holster was custom made for the case. There is no movement at all and I haven't noticed any wear on either of the Apple leather or silicone cases.

My local Best Buy finally got some in stock and it wasn't loose at all when I tried it on. In fact, it was pretty difficult to get off. I already have the i-Blason so I didn't pick it up but it seems really nice and snug. Not sure if there's a way to tell if it's a revised version but they didn't have it in stock for the 6 Plus at all until this week.

Did the revised case come yet man? Or anyone else get this case?

I just got the revised case yesterday and it fits much tighter than the first one I received. There is no play at all. Seidio fixed it so you can order with confidence now. Great case and great customer service!

Do you still have the loose case? If so, can you see if they enlarged the lightning port at all? Many of my cables won't plug in because the opening is too narrow and deep.

All the cutouts are identical from the loose case as far as I can see.

Here's my Best Buy branded holster with the Rock case. It fits perfectly in this holster. I didn't like the two piece case that came with the holster. Slight movement of the phone in the case and I didn't like the design either. Really like this case holster setup. The Rock case is very nice but looks like it has pretty good protection in addition to looking good! Here's a couple pics.

That looks good! Is that a 6 or 6+. I have a 6 and was going to order the Seidio case and holster for when I'm in the field, but if I can get the regular iPhone 6 Platinum case from BB and use the holster on my rock case, that would save me some $$, and I would have a couple more different set-ups I could use.

Just got the surface case today in the mail from NewEgg. Fit is a bit loose though so must have been from the original batch. I m gonna contact Seidio to see what they say. Otherwise the case looks and feels great in the hand. I really like how they slimmed down the kickstand area so it does not protrude as much as the old ones did on the back.

Hey what are you using for your daily case ? If it's the seidio how well does it hold up to finger prints etc ? Pics to please

Well, just got the seidio today in the mail. I got the black one. The kickstand can really come in handy. It does show some finger printing, but I expected this as I have used their soft touch cases in the past. It does not really bother me that much as it wipes off easily. If you want one of these cases, but don't want the fingerprints to show, the blue one is really good for that. (I have had that one in the past)

The one that I have been using daily prior to this is the Apple leather case in midnight blue. Very nice case. Fits great. Wearing well. Provides some decent protection for bumps and scratches. Feels really good in the hand too, adding some decent grip, without collecting dust/lint like the Apple silicone case did (which is why I returned that one after a week.) FWIW, this is actually my third Apple leather case. At first I got black, but after almost 2 weeks the buttons were still hard to press through the case a bit so I returned it for the red leather. Same thing with that one and so I returned it after about a week, plus I was concerned about the red leather showing too much dirt over time. The midnight blue one works great. Buttons are responsive and clicky. Hides any dirt well too. Looks grey in some lighting, black in other lighting, and of course dark blue. Kind of a cool effect.

I think the Seidio will be a really nice one if I can get one that fits a bit better. It looks like the OP got a "revised version" sent to him from Seidio which he reported fit better, so I am hoping for the same.

With the apple case did you use any sort of protection for the exposed bottom, or is it really not needed ? I'm problem going to get the apple leather in black and be done with it. I have the defender but it way to big and I have the tech 21 tactical which is ok but I'm scared that the back of the phone will end up getting marked from dirt getting in there. Apple case seems that it will protect the back with the soft lining well and some minor bumps. What did u use in your 5s ? I had the apple leather , bought third party cases and still ended up with apple case each time lol

I haven't used anything to protect the bottom portion that is exposed. No problems. It does come around the bottom corners so you do have some protection there if you were to have a slight drop or something. I really like the case honestly, I just like switching up cases too, so always have a few to rotate.

I didn't have the 5s. I was using a Note 3. ;-).

Here's my Best Buy branded holster with the Rock case. It fits perfectly in this holster.

Hello,

With this holster do you find you can load and unload the phone with one hand or do you need two to operate the top clip?

Thanks

I know fishmd said he gets fingerprints, but to be honest, I've been using the Seidio 2-piece case since the iPhone 6 came out, and if there is one thing I can't complain about, it's any visible fingerprints. I'm VERY picky about it, and I clean my screen daily, but never have I had to clean the case. But, then, french fries are not at the bottom of my food pyriamid, either. :)

FWIW, my ZooGue cases showed up today. I think they were a Slickdeals thing a while back for around $6 each. Nice cases, good feel, protruding buttons for power and volume (instead of just openings in the Seidio case), and the lightning port fits all my lightning cables now. The Seidio case had a rather narrow opening for the lightning port and some of my cables (Apple branded, even) would not fit.

I'm happy with my Seidio case, but I think I will try my ZooGue case for a while. A little better grip, I would say. No kickstand, but I haven't used the one on my Seidio case yet.
