Thank so much for Ur help guys.. I've unscrewed the whole bottom panel and have the bottom part facing the ceiling underneath the fan. I guess I will just leave it like this for a few more days? Is there anything under that bottom panel, which I have removed, that might indicate to me whether she still has a bit of life in her or or If she is a goner??

You keep asking the same questions over and over and people have already told you what to do. Do you think if you keep asking the question you'll get a different answer until you find one you like? For the last time, disassemble your computer, or at least use the link that was provided and tear it down as much as possible. Then, go buy a tupperware container (or just use a plastic bag), put the computer in it and a box of rice. Seal it and leave it for a week. When a week has gone by, put it back together, cross your fingers and fire it up. No sense taking it to Apple unless you know it's dead because they will charge you premium to fix it. By dumping water on it, you blew the warranty. Good luck.

Harsh mate - that's harsh!
I was asking if there was anything under the bottom panel that could indicate whether or not it was completely dead!
I can not disasemble it because it's the new one.. There are NO instructions for mine - do u think I haven't already looked?
As for the rice - no other forums suggest it - yes it may work for the iPhone but I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to put the bottom
Panel back on or not.
Did it ever occur to you that I'm NOT computer savvy.
Yes I am well aware that the warranty is blown from the water spill but I didn't to it on purpose.

I am not hoping for an answer I LIKE - I'm looking for one that answers my question.. Somethings suggested are not possible on my laptop. So please buddy back up a little a bit..

There are the instructions, not hard to follow.

By the way, those came out April 14, 2010...a day after it released.

DO NOT DO THIS!

Just leave it open for a few days or put it in a bag of rice for a few days. Either way, it's going to take time, do not rush it...

Why is that a bad idea (the hair dryer) , I didn't say blow torch ?
Just try not to melt anything away, but I'd try and get the water out asap with (moderate) heat.

Besides, I wouldn't have the patience for the rice method . ;)

Wrap your MBP in a porous cloth (paper towels) and keep it buried in rice. The more days the less risk.

Hi guys I have just returned home ad reassembled the my mbp the battery button on the side is working and the power cable shows it's charging but it wont power on!! Taking it in to shop and praying like he'll the water sensors haven't gone off to much.. Looks like the motherboard is gone right?? Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to have a motherboard replaced?? If those sensors have gone off I'm screwed!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your computer. But I don't think apple will repair anything accidental unless there was accidental insurance on it.

I don't know about the motherboard. Hope someone on here can help.

Easy 800 + bucks for the new board. Then theres the labour and what not, friend got a quote for her dead 2007 macbook and she was asked to pay 900+ taxes for the new board and what anot.

not a macbook but my iphone got soaked in pepsi (long drunken night lol) and it shorted out, screen went white and all crazy and it was impossible to function. Hard turned it off and put it in rice for 3 days, replaced rice 2 times.

when i took it out and plugged it into wall after it had some charge (10 min) it powered up and worked fine,

rice is best bet. the fact that u turned it on so soon means you probably fried it. sorry.

I was reading all the answers and tips. Why didn't you put it in rice? Was it because you couldn't find anyone else that did it? Yes it works for the phone but doesn't mean it won't work for the computer. You never know until you've tried it..
Like pp said, you probably fried it. Should've at least tried the rice trick.
