I got my iPhone 4 stolen a month and so back. I went to my carrier and they said they can put a trace on the IMEI of it becomes active in the network it will show up. Couple days ago i just got a letter saying that my phone is having regular activity and that i should take this document to the police. I went now they are in the works of bringing it back.
Yeah ok.
Carriers just blacklist the phone, that's all.
Regural activity doesnt mean anything besides someone is using it with another sim. Police can care less about lost or stolen cellphones, they got bigger worries.
Im sure they will get the whole squad to bring back your phone![]()

You sound very upset.
Good luck if it is in America.
I don't. I live in a VERY tiny country.
Good luck if it is in America.
LOL
...
UPDATE: Someone found it! It was heavily water damaged(I actually had dropped it in the rain while i ran out of the car to get to the door). The person who found it the next morning managed to save it by putting it in a bad of dry rice and finding my email in the email settings... miracle
Yea,, but how can you go through life with a "used" phone?
Some people aren't as picky as you obviously.
The OP made a comment about not wanting to get a refurb or used phone after he stupidly lost his/hers.
If I left my phone in an unlocked car, I would be happy with whatever I got for a replacement.
You should have turned on "Find my iPhone". Then, at the very least, you'd be able to keep us updated with it's whereabouts in an entertaining thread.
He said it was on but the battery was dead. Reading is a good thing.
I meant a new one, unfortunately. I really don't want a used one as they tend to have scratchs/marks on them.
The one I had was kept in perfect condition and I cased it right away.
