2 more cents

Let's think about this...
Apple is marketing their main page to who?? Hard core apple fans, right. Therefore, doesnt it stand to reason, the products annouced will be for hard core apple fans?

Hmmmm

Nah. I think they're just fooling with us. They can't have fun with the non-hardcore folks.

One of the reasons I love Apple so much is because it's a company with a personality. They don't mind having a bit of fun.

Yep. They're the largest company I know of that still likes to have a bit of fun.

Am I missing something here? The recent posts are stamped 5:23AM ET, but it's only 3:46 AM ET by my clock??!!

New page at apple

The new line will be:

The F****** Bastards are already breaking into our site to get the lines.

Server clock is off, I think. Can't be sure.

I think the administrator said that he had a server problem earlier that caused a few hours difference in the server clock. He hasn't fixed it due to what it might do to all of the recent posts here. Not to worry. : )

I should write a perl script that keeps downloading the source and as soon as it changes, I can come back and have a look. In the meantime I can do something useful with my life... like watch TV or something :)

Come to think of it, writing that script is a sure way to make the slogan change. The slogan is guaranteed to change just as I finnish!

Sound like a good idea! ;)

If any Apple folks are reading this (which I do assume they are) ... I am a lowly PC user who has been attracted recently to the Mac world ... not because I dislike PCs and Windows, because I don't, but because I miss the joy of using computers and I hope Apple could provide that for me.

Please know that your marketing IS working and that you've improved the company so much in the past two years that even I of all people am attracted. I hate to admit it.

I have never even owned a Mac and I am sitting here at 3AM refreshing the frontpage of apple.com waiting for a teaser that shall never come. Is that not sad or what?

Is it just me?????

When I go to Apple.com it still says "Two days to go". I've cleared my Internet cache etc. but they still haven't updated it. It's 57 minutes past midnight in cupertino according to my clock, has someone at apple fallen asleep or what?? I can see that at apple.com/home it's got the 1 day to go message, but why hasn't the main page been updated????

Is this just me, or has cupertino gone to sleep???

I hope no one minds (I forget who did this originally, and I'm too lazy to hit the back button), but I copied the source onto my machine and have it reloading every 3 seconds. :D

It is done like this

you add this little bit into your html that refreshes the page every ten seconds

<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="10; URL=apple.html">

and then i did it in a frame so apples site would update but it would keep refreshin so now i am sitting on my bed looking at the screen every 10 seconds to se if ther is a new messege
