Yes, picked it up yesterday.
Had an issue with the Watch app not working but a quick reply back from Dev gave me a quick fix.
The app works flawlessly, just tap the app icon and then hit record. Once you stop recording, it will sync and save to iCloud file. You'll be able to hear it from the Just Press Record iPhone app or on the new iOS iCloud Drive app.
Only few things I'd wish for but they are not deal breakers for me:
- wish the app had a glance mode
- wish the app had a complication option
The dev informed me that those two are on the way.
The other gripe which has to do I guess with Watch OS is, in order for this app to activity record, it had to be actively on the watch screen. Meaning you can't close the app or fire up another app while recording as this will cancel the recording. If you are recording and you place your hand (palm) over the screen to put the watch to "sleep", the app will cancel the recording.
Does it save to the watch memory or does it need the phone for saving? I assume it doesn't but is coming?
They just updated the app with both your wishes granted if I am correct!

Definitely a very useful app to have on the Watch.
I've been using it pretty often as a "note recorder - dictation like device".
Siri isn't 100% accurate with me and this way i record my notes vocally (while driving or running around) and then listen on the iPhone when i have the time.
I installed the app, it works on my handphone but not on my Apple Watch despite re-installing it

Same here. One of the first apps I have bought that simply does not work. Also tried reinstalling, and also checked privacy to make sure the mic had access. Also removed from my phone and reinstalled. Any ideas?
Quite the opposite. Use it with the complication and it loads fast and works perfectly every single time without even the slightest hiccup. Love it.
I wish I could help you out especially if your are from Minneapolis. I would uninstall from the watch and then the phone. Download again and load on the phone. Then install to the watch with glance and try the glance first. If that works, add the complication. Sorry.
It has 1 button .. and it doesn't work on iOS 9.1, .. wasted my money - BUT - they said they're working on it.
Works on my iPhone running 9.1 and on my watch running os2. So whatever they are working on, I hope it works for you.
OK, third time's the charm! reloaded on the watch, restarted both, working great! one of the fastest recorders I have tried.
Now that I have this working* it is pretty amazing. I tried at least 4 other recorders, and all took a LONG time to open, and often just crashed. Somehow this one opens almost immediately, and so far has been working great! I also like how it starts recording immediately, and gives you a haptic to let you know.
(*I am not sure what I did to get this working. I deleted and reinstalled 3 times on the watch and once on the phone. Then I shut both watch and phone off and restarted. At some point something clicked and "JPR" started working perfectly.)

The thing is, it should be reliable, I require guarantee recordings, which is basically not possible.. but at least it should be stable. I am sure this app will take shape over time.
Love this app as well and you hit on the features I love. It loads almost instantly and starts recording without pressing anything. Love it. Fastest third party app to load.
Just got the app. Love it! And the sound quality of the recordings is, to this non-audiophile, amazing. I continue to be astounded at the richness of the tech available to us.
So far, I'm just recording from the Glance.
I'm adding it to my arsenal of "capture-that-thought" tools.
Just an odd occurrence. I am using this app on my iPhone and my iPad. Both share the same iCloud Drive account. But when I record on the iPhone, the recording are only visible when the iPhone accesses the iCloud folder. And when I record on the iPad, the iPad can only access recordings made from the iPad.
Other apps that share the iCloud account (Numbers, Pages, etc) sync fine. Any guess what I am doing wrong?
UPDATE: This AM everything started working. Guessing it was an iCloud anomaly.
