I don’t do video editing or photoshop stuff, but I did run win10 in virtualbox and I didn’t notice any difference in speed and thermals compared to the MBP. I use the Intel app to monitor temps. Now if only Apple fixes the bootcamp drivers (I’ve heard there are issues with the MBA), that would certainly future proof my machine way beyond the ARM transition phase.

I'm wondering what you're using to test the temperature at different parts of the laptop?

I use a non-contact infrared thermometer - specifically this one: Etekcity 1022

Reason is I honestly don't care what the internal temps are - the system is designed to manage temps within spec - as in the Intel CPU won't let itself get too hot - and so I only care about the temperatures of the parts I touch.

I had an i5/8gb/512gb air & it was close to 99C when i tested it using intel power gadget. Was afraid it running too hot.

Why do you feel that 99C is a problem? The 10th gen CPU's are spec'd to handle 100C - you'll see the same behavior on the 10th gen MBP as well. Do a search in the MBP forum for "100C"
