No, thank you.

The space grey color looked so lifeless, especially on glass. I felt so bad for the phone as if it was a living being, telling it how sorry I am that apple made it dark grey. The gold looks really good but it's 100% pink. It's the best option to avoid fingerprint on the back. It makes me wish that there was a white back to the black front. I know the X will have that but I'm turned off by the bright steel frame around the phone. Gross.

I then went on to play with the Samsung note 8 and it felt amazing in my hand. It's amazing how I could comfortably wrap my one hand around it and still enjoy the large screen, while the iPhone plus hurts to hold. I want it so bad but I really dislike the Samsung skin. I just cannot put myself through the pain of those poorly Android apps. Why can't iPhone have gorgeous designed phones like Android?

PS - no disrespect to those who bought the new iPhones, I'm happy that you're satisfied with your device :)

These are choices we all have to make. I am really enjoying my 8+ and have zero regrets.

Seriously the main apps are really no different on iPhone compared to phones like the note. You won’t notice any difference in quality.

Yeah but Android apps have all their buttons on top of the screen instead of bottom which bothers me a lot, like twitter and Facebook.

If that’s much of a deal breaker then fair enough but the quality of the content is the same.

And here I thought this was a public forum....
You did? Then why bother making that dumb comment. Let me be upset over electronics. You say it's just a device then yet you're on an apple forum where first world problems are tech/electronics.

Have several seats sweety.

get a nice stylish minimal case for the iPhone X and you wont have to see the steel frame, or get it on the space gray and you wont have to see the dull lifeless back of the phone. And if you absolutely cannot deal with cases, then consider a google pixel with no skin on top of Android.... Other than that I dont think you have any more choices, go back to a flip phone :p:D

Haha, I always hated flip phone even when they were a thing! I'm gonna get the iPhone X for sure since it's smaller than the Plus. I just have to figure out what color.

When has black ever looked lively? Its always looked the sleekest. the glass back helps but the phone only looks good from the back in black Imo(minus camera bump). The front of the phone with its old dated bezels looks pretty aged.

I believe I know what color you pick  It is silver as you seem not interested dark grey ;) I bet I am 100% correct.

I respect that. Nice to see a normal comment for a change

You mean white :p but yeah maybe I will. It would be a new for a change

I admit I was in the apple store yesterday to have a look at the iPhone 8 plus and as some youtuber's have commented they are bored of it already.

There is nothing which makes me think wow when I picked it up, The 7+ was next to it and you could barely tell the difference.

I am sure the iphone 8 or 8 plus are excellent phones but for me i would regret paying £799 for an old design albeit with new internals than £200 more for what looks like a way better phone in design.

Yeah the space gray looks very cloudy. I wasn't a big fan when I saw it myself either.
how does a glossy black look cloudy in comparison to matte black of previous year?
IT looks like jet black to me just with a slightly off black color. I think it looks nice not completely black

I really liked the style of the white so I opted for the iPhone 8s plus.

It is weightier than my iPhone 6s Plus for instance, but I imagine this will be a hit or miss with some people. I prefer the weight but I can appreciate it might be too much for some people.

Cloudy, that's the word I was looking for! Well put. It's so depressing to look at. All I wanted was jet black like the original iPhone 4

The white back is gorgeous! Brings back memories of the iPhone 4s

Any phone I get will be put into a case. I don't really understand people using the phones naked, they have no protection and are slippery. Once the case is put on you see that and the screen so I don't fully understand people bashing those aesthetics. I usually get a few cases so I can alternate. Once said case is on, the only part that maters aesthetically speaking is the screen. I prefer the space grey because the borders fade into the background and don't stand out.

Now the x has the stainless steel frame and I honestly think it's beautiful and will feel much better. But again, you'r not going to see or feel it through the case so what's the point? What you will see are those god awful ears whenever you interface with your phone. For me that's a deal breaker.

Enter the Android phones. Many good options here but if you're imbedded in the Apple ecosystem (iMessage, mac puters, Apple watch etc..) none will do. I bought a Samsung once and had so much bloody trouble with their customer service. It wouldn't matter how good the note is, it could 3D print delicious pastries and I still wouldn't buy it. . Apple's CS is worlds better than Samsung. If you're still thinking of switching to android I would wait and see what the Pixel offers and stay the ef away from CrapSung

Sticking with Apple for now. Got the 8+ 256 space grey and a nice case.
It's a much better phone than my 6s+ and the camera is freeking amazing.
