Only Sell within the US
Only Sell to buyers with good feedback
Document EVERYTHING - IMEI number, Serial number etc.
Take pictures or video of the boxing / packaging process.

This makes it virtually impossible for them to scam / troll you...

Same price I sold my 4S 32gb for when the iPhone 5 released, sold the following week. Agree with the OP, it pays to take care of your device and keep box and accessories. Also doesn't hurt to advertise with AppleCare +.
