Got a two week window to get used to it but so far it feels enormous! I do like screen size but I dunno if I miss the compactness of the 17 Pro.

Anybody gone back and forth?

I reckon you can stick with it for a year and then decide whether or not the PM is for you going forward.

I’d like the larger screen since I use my iPhone for everything from gaming to watching TV shows. The 17 Pro seems fine for me so far because I’ve never actually had anything larger.

I might go for it when I upgrade though.

Get an Apple tech woven case. They are expensive, but really nice on these large phones. Only if your going to keep the pro max.

I’m currently on the fence myself. I came from a 15 pro max, but went to a pro, and am finding there are definite trade offs. I’m just trying to figure out which tradeoffs I wanna live with for the next couple years. Lol

I tried a colleague’s 17 Pro next to my 17 Pro Max in early December and I just don’t know how you guys live with the smaller phones, lol.
Then again I have always been a Max user, I prefer the larger phones as they are easier to type on and everything looks spectacular on the larger phones screen.

I went from my 15 Pro Max to my 5.4 inch 13-mini and have been enjoying the smaller hand held in favor of having a 6.9 inch screen from the 17 Pro Max. I’m now going for smaller lighter phones at this point.

I went to a 14 Pro Max after using a 14 Pro for the better part of that year. I really didn't like the size or weight of the Pro Max and was happy to go back to the Pro when the 15 was released. Now I have an Air and am happy to have the larger screen without the weight even with a couple of compromises that don't affect my use case.

I always strongly preferred smaller the iPhone Pros until a couple of eye surgeries drove me to the iPM. It only took a couple of days to get used to the iPM size.

You get used to it.

I felt the same way jumping to a max size phone.

Now I couldn’t back.

I had a Max for two years and never adjusted to size and never liked the weight. Went back to the standard size and have been much happier. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wife has a 15 Pro, I have a 15 Pro Max. I don’t really notice much of a difference, though that’s partly because hers is in a thin case and mine is naked. I only did the Max for the better zoom; if I were to get a 17 I’d stick with Pro since the cameras are identical.

Same, eternally on the fence. I had a Xs max for years. By the time I upgraded I hated the size and couldn't wait to go back to my iPhone 7 size.

So I got the 15 pro. It's been about 2.5 years and the compactness is no longer refreshing. I'm missing the better battery life, much easier texting, and bigger screen.

But would I end up hating the big size again if I went back? Probably lol what a strange modern "problem"

Always hated the idea of the bigger Max Phones, but as the battery life on them is equally monstrous, there's no way I can go back!😂

I went 14 pro max to 15 pro and then to 16 pro max. I prefer the pro size being able to hold it one handed as you don’t have to stretch as much but I prefer max size content..

It’s tough but I think I’d go max size again

I have a personal 14 Pro Max and a 17 for work. The 17 is so much more comfortable to carry and to handle, and the brightness and sharpness of the display offsets the smaller screen size. I am holding on for the 18 Pros and I know I will have a difficult time deciding between the two screen sizes, but right now I'm leaning towards going back to the regular Pro.

I'm never going back to Max phones, they're way too big and were contributing to wrist tendonitis. Went from a 13 Pro Max to a 17 Pro, which was much better. Exchanged the Pro for a base 17, which feels much lighter.

If I want a large screen to consume media, I use my 13" M4 iPad Pro.

I'm the same way. I've been using Plus/Max size phones for so long that they just feel normal to me. The other models feel too tiny.

The up coming folding iPhone seems like the best answer to both dilemmas (ignoring price). For those that want a smaller phone just use the iPhone folded. For those that want bigger use it unfolded so it’s almost the size of an iPhone mini.
