Collected my Matt Black iphone 7 today....I unboxed it 2 hours ago and already I've lost the excitement/wow feeling that normally comes with a new iPhone/iPad

I loved playing with Touch ID when I got my iPad Air2 & iPhone 6 and when I got my 6s I loved (and still do) playing with the 3D Touch......but with this......there's nothing new to play with (the new home button is actually surprisingly good though)

I wasn't 100% sure I was going to collect it but thought I'd give it a go

The colour is growing on me......initially I didn't like it and I think I still prefer the two tone finish of my 6s and I might be in the minority but the new one seems a bit "plain" on the back......I actually like the way the antenna bands break up the rear on the 6s......the 6/6s seems to have a more "premium" look and feel (personal opinion)

I did read the reviews and knew it was only an incremental upgrade but I still expected more and not sure it's worth the £350 it will cost me to keep......anyone else feeling underwhelmed???

Ahh, the buyer's remorse threads are starting early.

This will break down to either,

There is no difference from last years model
and
I think I want a 7 Plus (they always wanted a 7 Plus but couldn't get one but wanted a new phone anyway, had every intention of returning it).

There's no "killer feature" on this one (Siri on the 4s, Touch ID on the 5s, 3D Touch on the 6s), so if you're looking for a wow factor, you probably won't find it. It's just a further refinement of a very mature design and product.

I know how you feel. I picked up mine 5 hours ago, and it's still sealed in box. I do prefer a JB one if only I could get one.

Go take some pictures and videos and enjoy the new camera with OIS.

Oh, and drop it in the toilet to test its new water resistance.

Yup should have held out for the jet black...

No way!! They had a Jet Black one on display in the Trafford store......I picked it up and it just didn't feel premium....it felt and looked like the 3GS from years ago and it was already showing a few scratch marks and it had only been on display for 6 hours

There's gonna be a hell of a lot of people hating the Jet Black after a week or r two of ownership (and don't get me sterner on putting it in a case.....no point at all in buying for a finish then covering it up)

Get a Note 7

Holy ****, took me a while! Amazing!

I had a 6 ... got a Black 7 this morning by walking into my local carrier store ... restored from back-up ... good to go.

My purchase decision was make on the basis of new front and rear cameras and the OIS.

Have to say I'm liking the Home Button and I haven't a clue what the early reviewers beef was.

As for the rest of the stuff - it does all the stuff the 6 did and likely better. Should say that I have noticed an overall kick in speed.

Never used the iPhone for music so won't miss the 3.5 and doubt I'll ever use the lighting earphones.
