What were you expecting? Unless you got the Plus, this year's update was very meh.
Even the Plus model, no change in design. Usually, non S models "SHOULD" have a design change. .However, this year model is a new iphone 6. with minor improvements . No new features, no new design, I am disappointed with Iphone 7, I think it would be a revolutionary iphone. and its not waterproof.

The journey of getting it is where most of the excitement comes from. The moment you open the box, it's just another iPhone with really not much changes except a different color. Your epiphany is really no different than going from 6 to 6s. Nothing life changing about it.

This doesn't just apply to iPhones. It can happen to other brands. Opening a new PS4 or Xbox One felt the same way. You shrug it off the slightly better graphics and go, what next? Boredom kicks in. Apple isn't the only one guilty of this. The hype and illusion fades. Back to reality.

6s -> 7 = Evolution, not revolution. Not sure what you were expecting, TBH.

Would I recommend someone with a 6s buy a 7? No.
Did I do it anyway? Yes (thanks to Verizon for giving me $650 for a 6).
6s is a very capable phone..If u have the 6, u can upgrade to the 6s or 7, both are phsically the same ,u wont any difference in design if u upgrade to the 7..

Oh, Apple add new colors to the Iphone 7, is a way that they can differentiate from the 6s. I think this year Iphone just brought new colors..

I hope Apple launches a iphone 8 with a huge design change, . However, I may wait untill 8s. and I hope in the future Apple update the SE.

Now that the phones have reached a point that they have been pretty fast for the last few years and the plus version was released, the excitement is more geared towed iOS and what new things it can do. I don't have my 7+ yet but I feel Ive had a new phone since Tuesday when I installed iOS 10!

Because it's the same stuff but faster. The next revolution for phones are those with capability to run desktop-class OS like Windows 10 and macOS Sierra. Otherwise, these toy phones running iOS and Android will be the same regardless of whatever gimmick they use for newer models.

Enough difference coming from a 6 you think?

I know I need a new battery and can use all around upgrade (coming from 6 myself too). 3D touch is new for me too!

I have a iphone 6 currently and this year I'm going to a 7 plus Jet Black. For me it will be a big upgrade because I'm getting the bigger phone for the first time, going from a 8 megapixel camera to the 12 megapixel dual camera setup, getting the 7 megapixel front camera, getting touch ID 2.0 and 3D touch. That's why it's better to wait a few years. If you're coming from a 6S I can understand the buyers remorse. Now I'm on a yearly plan just incase next year phone is the big design change everyone is hoping for an if not I'll just keep my 7.

Collected my Matt Black iphone 7 today....I unboxed it 2 hours ago and already I've lost the excitement/wow feeling that normally comes with a new iPhone/iPad

I loved playing with Touch ID when I got my iPad Air2 & iPhone 6 and when I got my 6s I loved (and still do) playing with the 3D Touch......but with this......there's nothing new to play with (the new home button is actually surprisingly good though)

I wasn't 100% sure I was going to collect it but thought I'd give it a go

The colour is growing on me......initially I didn't like it and I think I still prefer the two tone finish of my 6s and I might be in the minority but the new one seems a bit "plain" on the back......I actually like the way the antenna bands break up the rear on the 6s......the 6/6s seems to have a more "premium" look and feel (personal opinion)

I did read the reviews and knew it was only an incremental upgrade but I still expected more and not sure it's worth the £350 it will cost me to keep......anyone else feeling underwhelmed???

This is why I decided on a 7+ this year, never had the bigger one before. It will feel new and hold me out until iPhone 8 which will be a 10th Anniversary edition with OLED and glass casing.

I'm coming from a 6+ going to a 7+ JB and I'm looking forward to the camera and other improvements as well. Just hoping to receive it in 2016...

Quite a bit of wow factor for me, but that's because I came from a 6 Plus. I had two years' worth of technology that needed catching up on.

No way!! They had a Jet Black one on display in the Trafford store......I picked it up and it just didn't feel premium....it felt and looked like the 3GS from years ago and it was already showing a few scratch marks and it had only been on display for 6 hours

There's gonna be a hell of a lot of people hating the Jet Black after a week or r two of ownership (and don't get me sterner on putting it in a case.....no point at all in buying for a finish then covering it up)

I agree. I actually thought I wanted a jet black until I held it and saw it in person. I honestly think it is my least favorite looking iPhone to date.

I feel like that with all apple products. Well phones and ipads. But they do what they do very well. Theres nothing to really mess about or play with on an iphone. Its all setup for you which is adissapointment to me but also I cant complain on the other hand as it runs so well.

Yep and the camera lense on the Plus protrudes out the back too much like Apple rushed the design. Don't know who let that one slip through, hoping next years model will look cleaner maybe if true about the glass case it may help.
