In any event, as long as you got just what you wanted and it does everything you need it to do for you then you didn't make a bad purchase. What's right for one isn't for another and you are the only one to decide what's right for you. Have fun with the new toy.

A good purchase if the given rumors are true (e.g. glossy screens); OP, I would suggest to check back with Apple.com after the event to see if your specific notebook falls in price.

If so, I would simply go back to the Apple Store and get the amount credited.

How massive? $200 *maybe*... I've never seen the price drop all that much in the past. In fact, I've been tad disappointed the prices didn't come down where they should.

I'm not a Pro that needs a matte screen, but I understand it's benefits to those who are.

I agree with the keyboard comment, thought it's more due to it's change from an aluminum color to black. My initial opinion is that it's too much of a contrast. I really like the all aluminum look and I'll have to see it in person to really determine my next purchase.
