Congrats on the new computer. Ignore the jerks who have no tact or manners or enjoy them making themselves look like butts whichever you prefer. In any event, as long as you got just what you wanted and it does everything you need it to do for you then you didn't make a bad purchase. What's right for one isn't for another and you are the only one to decide what's right for you. Have fun with the new toy.

A good purchase if the given rumors are true (e.g. glossy screens); OP, I would suggest to check back with Apple.com after the event to see if your specific notebook falls in price.

If so, I would simply go back to the Apple Store and get the amount credited.

wow, not to bright. Your paying the same price for less power. Not to smart on investments I guess, even when apple clearly announced a notebook event last week.

Oh wow, I'm sorry but the irony of you calling him not too bright when you managed to squeeze three grammatical errors into as many sentences is just too good to pass up.

Enjoy your laptop, it will serve you well...although I still can't understand why you wouldn't wait a day. Or why you're on here posting about how you didn't wait a day.

Purely for fun. I'll look back on this one day and write an essay on consumerism.

I think, deep inside you know.

Its like someone who's gotten screwed over, but just doesnt wanna accept it. Well, whatever makes you happy.

i maybe part of the minority here...
who still believe that " matte" screen is more functional for a specific group
and that the " chicklet" keyboard loses its " PRO" quality.

as they say.." why fix it if it isn't broken"

I'm not a Pro that needs a matte screen, but I understand it's benefits to those who are.

I agree with the keyboard comment, thought it's more due to it's change from an aluminum color to black. My initial opinion is that it's too much of a contrast. I really like the all aluminum look and I'll have to see it in person to really determine my next purchase.
