I have a launch version of the iPhone X with 256gb of storage and battery health at 90 percent. I’m itching to buy a new 11 pro but afraid it will be a let down with the exception of the camera (not a heavy camera user).

Anyone hanging on to their X until the 12 comes out?

It really come down to the battery life, which is the weak point of this model. If the battery life is good enough for you then it’s better to wait.

I would keep it and then get the Navy Blue iPhone 12 Pro.

I’ve had my X for over two years and am definitely waiting for the 12Pro to come out before I upgrade. Battery capacity at 92% and with my usage it easily lasts two days between charges.

Yeah i'd wait, unless you really like the 5.8" iPhone, may not be one this year, but don't get talked into downgrading to a 11.

I just upgraded to the Iphone 11 Pro Max from the X and Im happier with the increased screen size and battery life is insanely great. There is an overall speed increase but its minimal I think. Camera is great but I'm not a heavy user as well.

The iPhone 12 is like forever away, I don’t know anyone that’s simply ‘waiting’ for that phone this far away from the launch. Why don’t you just take advantage of purchasing the iPhone 11 Pro for 14 days and then return it if it’s not within your expectations. Seems fairly logical.

I came from a 11 pro max back to my iPhone X. Just missed the smaller size. Camera quality and battery life are obvious differences but in the end I’m happy with my iPhone X still and probably won’t end up with a plus sized phone again

just got my 11 yesterday, did bunch of speed tests around the house and around the neighborhood, the X with qualcomm consistently beat out my 11 on download speed by nearly double. maybe another reason for you to keep your X til the 12 comes? lol

I don't see any major reason to upgrade to an 11. Yeah could get a bigger screen. Ultra wide. More battery life. But I just got a new Battery replacement a few days before AppleCare ran out (88% life) so now good for a bit.

What I'm looking for in the 12 is the big big screen, 5G and maybe less notch. Navy is also a nice touch if that rumor is true.

If you find the iPhone X screen too little and want insane battery, then upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Else stay with the iPhone X.

The cameras are a lot better, but is that really a reason to buy a new smartphone?

I have the feeling the issue is more your LTE rather than the iPhone 11. My XS…

After going to the apple store and checking the phones out i decided to keep the X. I think i can squeeze another year out of it , even at 90 percent battery. I started using dark mode and it has helped the battery a lot.

The new phones just seem like slightly better X.

I did side by side testing with my x, if my x can pick up double the dL bandwidth I don’t see how that’s the carrier providers fault

Well these new ones with 5G will definitely be Qualcomm. I wanted to wait but the trade in deal on my 7 to switch to AT&T was great.

So Pro Max it was.

I get decent speeds but they don't touch the speeds I get with the same carrier on my LG G8 ThinQ.

If my X doesn’t break I’ll probably keep it until 2021. I think the camera is good enough for what I use it for, the phone is fast and I usually have about 30% battery left when a typical day is over. 96% battery, when it goes under 80% I’ll just have it replaced. Don’t see why a bad battery should call for replacing a phone, at least with Apple devices where you can get a replacement original battery installed by Apple for a reasonable amount.

If your happy with the X, hold on to it, save the money and have it readily available when you really need and want to upgrade.
