figures no one would have a problem with this.

More like, it's just not that big a deal to most of us. So he gets an iPhone. Big deal! Stomping your feet over it isn't gonna make Apple snatch it out of his podcasting hands and give it to you.

He's exaggerating. I watch Diggnation and the best is when Alex catches Kevin in a lie or exaggeration and he tries hard to change subjects.

I bet he went into an Apple store and some employee knew who he was and hooked him up. APPLE didn't hook him up. Please.

Your sassy comments are always a joy to read! :)

Yes, Kevin does tend to add a bit of color to his tales doesn't he? IMHO

It happens oh well there is nothing we could do about it. Sucks yes but oh well.

I saw someone made the arugment he is an Apple Shareholder. Well so am I! I got about 40 shares of apple stock does that entitle me to a free iPhone 4? NOPE!

thanks...FINALLY someone who can love apple but not agree with everything they do.

If that had been you, you would not be on here complaining. Welcome to be a normal person. It has its goods and bad just like being famous. Remember its about who you know and being in the right place at the the right time.

i've been a shareholder since 2002. I've recommended and got tons of people to buy apple products - people who absolutely HATED apple. where's my "hook up"?

Oh get over it. Kevin Rose getting "hooked up with an iPhone" didn't affect you or anyone else.

Kevin Rose getting hooked up with an iPhone 4 and showing it off on Diggnation will generate more income for AAPL than you'll ever generate for them in your lifetime.

Have you ever though that he went into the Apple store and just bought it? He said he didn't have it on Sunday, that doesn't mean he couldn't get one by Tuesday.

You're really having fun just ignoring every opinion which doesn't agree with yours and labeling everyone else Apple fanboys, aren't you?

I've been in journalism. I've gotten all kinds of free products from different companies. It's a common practice, not an Apple thing. Journalists get review products. You're arguing that Apple shouldn't provide review copies to people whose job it is to produce reviews of their products? They'd be shunned by a lot of PC magazines; or at least get their reviews published a month late, or worse if the magazines can't get a hold of it (badge-carrying journalists can't skip work to wait in line). It's a common- and sensible practice.

Do you have any idea how many free Nexus One's Google gave out?

Calling everyone who disagrees with you about Apple conducting itself like every other mobile device manufacturer an Apple fanboy just betrays that you have no interest in actually discussing this and just want to rant about someone else getting something you want.

Kevin is a big part of the tech community, he owns Digg and Revision 3, big part of social media growth, lives in San Francisco ( One of the biggest tech cities in the US ), and everyone knows he's an apple fanboy. If anyone deserves to get hooked up its him.
