Does the Moshi keyboard protector for the 2010 MBA 11" also fit the 2011 MBA 11" model?

BTW, I have one for an MBP 17" and think the Moshi has the right balance of compromise in protection and resistance to the keys being pressed..

Both models use the same size keyboards.

I hate these covers too, but is there any alternative way to protect the keys from excessive use? Or maybe a source for replacement keys? I can predict I would need replacements for ASDW keys in the future if I didn't have a cover.

You really should plug in a keyboard if you're playing games.

For those with the moshi clearguard, does it smear onto the screen? I was going to get it to prevent things from going under the keys but I hate it when the plastic grease get's onto the screen.

Forgive my ignorance, but aren't Apple notebooks designed to dissipate heat/allow air flow via the keyboard? Does a keyboard cover mess with your system temp?

I've had a moshi one for about 2 weeks now and I'm still not used to it. typing just feels a lot different with it and the keyboard looks a lot better without it.

Well, I think the keyboards are meant to be met with contact, but I understand why one would try to protect their keyboard for aesthetic reasons. I do too!

But really, it's not going to get dirty like a traditional keyboard. The crevasses for Apple computers don't really allow any space for gunk or anything. Just keep your hands clean and you'll be fine!

I haven't noticed any grease on my MBP 17" screen from the Moshi keyboard protector.

The keyboard protector does get discolored though.

Ok, just wondering since the MBA is a bit thinner so maybe it will. Wish you could go in store and test it.

I've been using my moshi for nearly a year and a half (as gross as it sounds, it still looks better than most of my friends' who have only had theirs for a fraction of that time) and there is just no way to prevent the moshi keyboard cover smudges on the screen. Maybe they make the new ones thinner, but if they are the same thickness as mine, you will have to clean your screen occasionally.

Mine doesn't make any smudges

I wonder about that with my MBP 17 and will wonder once I put one on the MBA, too.

I'm fairly sure it will increase temperatures and is probably a negative effect, but there will be a net positive for me since I have kids who are always spilling their drinks over everything and anything. Kids seem drawn to shiny electronic items like moths to a flame.

I don't like the feel of them at all. Might be good for people who eat or drink around their computer, but other than that it just looks and feels worse.

If I were to use one it would be one that is completely one color. Like black, because it gives it a sleek look. Also the only reason I would use it would be to keep the matte finish from wearing off of the keys. Wish they would bring back metal keys.
