I'm so tired of there always having to be a "plus" model. The best thing about the X was that it got ALL the features in the more pocketable size. I don't want to miss premium features just because I want my phone to be able to fit in my pocket. :(

What on earth os the point of a 500ppi screen? All those extra pixels that no-one is going to appreciate need extra CPU/GPU to drive them and for what? Only difference between that and a 300ppi screen is...? And then it'll need to be throttled later on down the line because the battery is shagged in half the time it otherwise would be. #herewegoagain
Higher ppi is great for VR headsets so it doesn't look like a screen door.

I'm surprised that even larger screens are desired. Is small screen design so useless that larger screens are needed? Shouldn't we be focusing on supreme design for small compact screens?

I care less about screen size than I do about overall device size. And I still want a smaller device. SE is as big as I am willing to carry around. I could even go for something smaller. And price is not a factor for me.

Obviously I am in the minority.

There’s no way that the plus x would cost less than the current x. I think you need to add $100 to the min and max prices, and that’s What we will see this year.
Did you read my whole post? I mentioned that the current sized 5.8" will have to start at a lower price point of USD 700-800 and then you add $100 for the Plus model!

I don’t understand the appeal of a phone larger than the X. It’s like perfect size. My 7 plus isn’t exactly comfortable and I have huge hands. Do they all hold their phones with 2 hands over there?

I agree..I’m good with the screen size on the X..not to mention I do own a 12.9 IPad Pro..

Yes take that Apple. 1150€ for the X in Germany is simply crazy. Hope they lose some marketshare.
And then Tim won’t pay his fair share of taxes in the EU

I think pricing also plays a major role in the weaker then expected demand. I know many people, including myself that will not pay $1000+ for ANY smartphone, even though I have the money to afford it.
The iPhone X screen size is perfect and I would like to replace my iPhone 6, but at this price point, no way!

If Apple doesn't come down with their pricing to previous levels, they will lose me to the android competition. The following in my opinion is a fair price for the coming next-gen iPhone line-up:
- iPhone X 6.1" LCD = USD 600-700
- iPhone X 5.8" = USD 700-800
- iPhone X Plus 6.5" = USD 800-900
These prices mentioned are the base prices, that means with more extras or memory they will cost more...

It's exactly as I expected, after the release of the iPhone X, the die hard Apple fanboys bought, but since the initial hype has faded, the consumer with some sense is hesitant and the sales figures are reflecting it.

I just hope that Samsung and others will not keep following Apple and also increase the smartphone prices. This is getting seriously ridiculous! It's the first time in tech history that pricing is trending up, rather than down, as it has always been before...

I agree 100% one thing for sure is that this year when the XS comes out the X should come down quite a bit in price and can tell honestly tell you its awesome!!!

That's still cheaper than the current X. I think we're lucky if the XI starts at 899 and the XI+ at 999. More likely it will be 999/1099.

That hypothetical larger iPhone X+ wouldn't need to be bigger than your 6S. A larger portion of your phone is nothing but bezel. The X series doesn't have that problem.

Uhm, even the normal X is bigger than his 6S.

No problem, if Apple believes that the future is higher prices, then I will not be part of that future and will adapt my consumer behavior. There is plenty of choice out there and everything I do on my phone can also be done on a mid-range Android.

Kuo believes all three models will be equipped with a full-screen notched design and TrueDepth camera system like the iPhone X.

How would be possible to get a notchesque design with LCD?
I thought that the “bezels less” design and “the ears” of the iPhone X were possible only with OLED displays...

The iPhone X is physically larger than the 6S in all three axes, an X+ would be much bigger.

6S: 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm
X: 143.6 x 70.9 x 7.7 mm

than why you buy iphone? and not a cheaper mid range android if that pleases you?

I would buy the iPhone X (again) if:
  1. It didn't have the notch. This is a big deal. It looks stupid. I don't care what any of you fanboys say.
  2. Face ID could be disabled in favor of Touch ID. I'm not cool with the FaceID lasers burning my retinas with its IR lasers every time I'm using my phone.

You have a choice bezel or notch you can't have both no notch/no bezel and a front camera...
